Role Snapshot

Mail Clerk responsible for sorting, organizing, and delivering incoming mail to approximately 175 offices across Old Dominion University. This role is essential for ensuring efficient mail distribution and USPS coordination across the campus.

Key Responsibilities: Sort and bundle incoming mail destined for various departments, deliver and pick up mail at multiple departments, and manage mail transport to and from the U.S. Postal Service. Maintain organized mail routes and ensure timely distribution across campus offices.
Skills & Tools: Organizational and attention to detail skills for accurate mail sorting and routing. Physical ability to handle mail volumes and navigate multiple locations, with basic interpersonal skills for departmental interactions.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior mail sorting or delivery experience is beneficial but not always required; ability to learn mail systems and maintain reliability is essential.
Location: In-Person
Compensation: $28K–$36K/yr (estimated)

Job Description

Responsible for sorting incoming mail for approximately 175 offices. Sorts and bundles all mail that is destined for departments on mail route. Delivers and picks up mail at various departments. Picks up and delivers mail to and from the U.S. Postal Service.
