Job Description
Hi, I'm Marloes, Head of People & Culture at FeedbackFruits. 👋
We're at a pivotal moment. As a company we're stabilizing while gearing up for our next stage of growth, and that means building strong foundations now so we can scale with clarity and a culture we're actually proud of. Right now, I'm carrying a lot. Leading the People function, partnering across the whole business, stepping into operations when needed. It works, but it's not sustainable, and more importantly, it's not how I want to do this work. That's why I'm growing my team.
I'm looking for a People & Culture Generalist who will become the connective force in how we operate. Someone who can be my right hand in turning strategy into reality, while also working closely with our People Ops, Talent Acquisition and Office Management colleagues to keep things running smoothly and thoughtfully. But this role is about more than keeping things running. You'll act as a sparring partner to managers, helping them build strong, high-performing teams. You'll work on projects that elevate both the People function and the broader organisation. And you'll help shape how we grow and develop talent, not just for today, but with an eye on where we're headed.
At the same time, you'll contribute to creating a workplace where people genuinely want to be. Where collaboration happens naturally, teams feel connected, and there's space to learn, grow and be yourself.
We're at the beginning of a real shift in how work gets organized and delivered, and AI is at the center of that. In this role, you'll help the People team stay ahead of it, rethinking how we work, supporting managers and teams through new ways of doing things, and ensuring we adopt AI in a responsible and human-centered way.
What you’ll do:
Be a genuine thought partner to managers. Help them grow their confidence in handling people situations, so they come to you to think things through, not just to hand things over
Support manager development in a practical, ongoing way, through check-ins, honest conversations and guidance that actually sticks
Work with leadership on team dynamics, performance and engagement, with a focus on what will actually make a difference
Handle employee matters with care, good judgment and full discretion. People should feel safe knowing things are in your hands
Be someone employees feel comfortable coming to when something is not sitting right, before it becomes a bigger issue
Know when to act, when to escalate, and when to give something a little more time
Take ownership of People Operations and understand how the basics work: onboarding, offboarding, contract management, sick leave. You don’t need to be a specialist, but you can hold the fort and spot when something needs attention
Look for ways to make processes lighter, smarter or more automated, and actually follow through on it
Use people data to spot patterns and make a thoughtful case for what needs to change
Contribute to how we build our people practices, including performance, engagement and L&D
Pick things up and see them through, without needing to be chased
What you bring:
You ask why before jumping into the how. You want to understand what you’re actually solving before you start solving it
You notice what needs doing and take initiative, without waiting to be asked
You handle sensitive situations with the maturity and attention they deserve. People trust you with the things that matter
You genuinely enjoy helping managers grow, and you know the difference between supporting someone and doing it for them
You’re warm and easy to talk to, and you also know how to keep things on track
You’re comfortable when things are not fully defined yet. You pick up context quickly, figure out what matters most, and get moving
2-3 years of HR experience, enough to feel comfortable when things get complex or a bit messy
A solid understanding of Dutch labor law
Strong written and spoken English. Dutch is a plus
Available 32-40 hours per week, with 3 days a week from our Amsterdam office
What you get:
25 paid holidays per year
Hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite)
A day off for your birthday
Advantageous pension scheme
3 days of volunteering leave per year
€550 Learning & Development budget per year as well as 3 days paid leave for learning purposes
Travel allowance and Swapfiets subscription
Free access to office gym
Unlimited access to mental health support with OpenUp service (within the EU, US, and AUS)
