Summary

Remote contract position as a K12 certified Spanish instructor for Mango Live's online language learning platform. Deliver personalized blended learning sessions and live instruction to small and large groups of Spanish students using communicative methodology and proprietary tools.

Key Responsibilities: Prepare personalized online sessions using Mango Languages learning tools, instruct and assess K12 Spanish students in small (3-6) and large (7+) groups, evaluate language proficiency, provide progress reports, and manage attendance records and syllabi. Commit to 10-30 hours per week teaching primarily during US working hours.

Skills & Tools: Native or near-native Spanish proficiency with advanced English (C1+), excellent written and verbal communication in both languages, expertise in language proficiency standards (ACTFL), proficiency with Moodle and Zoom, and strong understanding of virtual language learning environments and current instructional methodologies.

Qualifications: US K12 teaching certification in Spanish and minimum 3-5 years of language teaching experience preferred. Must demonstrate passion for language and culture education, adaptability, high accountability, and experience working with diverse learner populations.

Location: Remote - Southfield or Remote Global

Compensation: $35K–$55K/yr (estimated)

Mango Languages is looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable K12 certified Spanish instructors for Mango Live, our online live instruction program. In this remote contract position, you’ll prepare personalized blended learning assignments and live sessions using proprietary Mango Languages learning tools. You’ll instruct and assess small (3-6) and large (7+) groups of K12 Spanish students. In your classes, you will use the communicative approach as well as proprietary methodologies and curricula to facilitate our online live instruction sessions. This remote position allows you to connect from anywhere in the world and enjoy the flexibility to work at hours that suit you and your schedule. In this role, you will be part of a diverse team of instructors and administrators who are there to support you and exchange ideas. Regular feedback and ongoing training will help you grow as an individual and professional. You will build relationships and establish powerful connections with your students as you guide them and follow their progress. As the ideal candidate, you are able to communicate clearly and effectively in both English and Spanish. You are an experienced educator with a passion for learning and teaching language and culture. Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Apply the communicative approach and the Mango methodology in online language instruction.

Prepare personalized sessions using proprietary Mango Language learning tools.

Instruct and assess groups of K12 Spanish students online

Evaluate students’ language proficiency and provide regular progress reports.

Manage attendance records, student schedules, and syllabi.

Commit to teaching between 10 and 30 hours per week, usually during US working hours.

Requirements:

Native or near native speaker of Spanish

Advanced proficiency in English (C1 and above)

US K12 teaching certification in teaching Spanish

Passion for the learning and teaching of language and culture

Experience using technology in live online language instruction

Reliable internet connection

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Extensive knowledge of language proficiency standards, including ACTFL

Comprehensive understanding of the language learner in a virtual environment

Experience working with a diverse population of learners

Advanced knowledge of current trends in instructional methodologies

Experience with Moodle and Zoom, preferred

Minimum 3-5 years of language teaching experience, preferred
