Key Responsibilities: Manage corporate partner portfolio through full lifecycle fundraising (prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship), develop tailored partnership concepts and proposals, structure philanthropic agreements, and oversee benefits fulfillment and volunteer engagement. Collaborate cross-functionally on grants management, compliance, and impact metrics while representing iMentor at external meetings and industry convenings.
Skills & Tools: Strong relationship management and written/verbal communication abilities, demonstrated success in portfolio management and revenue goal achievement, and proficiency in grant management, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration within nonprofit settings.
Qualifications: 7+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience with focus on corporate partnerships or institutional giving, proven success managing portfolios in the $2–3 million range and securing corporate gifts/grants of $50,000–$500,000.

Job Description

Strategy & Portfolio Management:
  • Manage a portfolio of 30–50 corporate partners and prospects with an annual revenue goal of $2–3 million.
  • Execute full lifecycle fundraising, including prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.

  • Bring a long-term, strategic perspective to portfolio management, aligning partnerships to broader organizational priorities and identifying opportunities for growth and innovation

  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new corporate funders aligned with iMentor’s priorities.

  • Lead annual forecasting and reforecasting for your portfolio and pipeline; track progress against goals and adjust strategy as needed.

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and partner with Development Operations to support reporting and performance tracking.

  • Corporate Partnership Development & Stewardship:
  • Identify and engage new corporate prospects through research, outreach, and networking.
  • With support from Corporate Development Manager, develop tailored concepts, proposals, pitches, and partnership strategies that align corporate philanthropic priorities with iMentor’s programs and impact, while creating opportunities for deeper, multi-dimensional engagement across employee engagement, brand visibility, strategic communications, and potential earned revenue opportunities.

  • Structure and negotiate philanthropic partnerships, including grants and sponsorships and select fee-for-service opportunities.

  • Lead stewardship and benefits fulfillment for corporate partners, ensuring a high-quality and consistent partner experience.

  • Oversee delivery of corporate benefits, including volunteer engagement, event activations, and corporate trainings, in collaboration with internal teams.

  • Represent iMentor externally at meetings, events, and industry convenings.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Grants Management:
  • Partner closely with Program, Finance, Marketing & Communications, Research & Evaluation and Development Operations teams to scope partnerships, develop budgets, and define impact metrics.
  • Lead grants management and compliance for your portfolio, ensuring deliverables, reporting, and timelines are met in coordination with internal stakeholders.

  • Monitor progress against grant commitments and proactively address risks or challenges.

  • Coordinate internally to ensure strong execution of partnerships and alignment across teams.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across Institutional Giving to align on shared accounts and strategy, including board leadership, fundraising events, and more.

  • Qualifications:

  • Location & Travel:
  • Based in a major metropolitan area, ideally New York City or Chicago.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for partner meetings, events, and internal collaboration.

  • Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary $105,000 to $115,000 annually commensurate with experience
