Because Figma Design is used by so many of the top tier software companies around the world, you will be uniquely positioned to advance the state of how product development works across the entire industry.

The ideal candidate brings a deep passion for research and strategy, raising the bar with AI led experiences, and laddering key user needs to critical product decisions and broader business impact. Partnering with Product, Design, and Engineering, you will tackle our highest impact problems, influencing company strategy for both the short and long term.

This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.

What you’ll do at Figma:

  • Help Figma grow and innovate by delivering strategic research and recommendations and materially influencing the vision and strategy for Figma Design
  • Partner closely with product leaders to find opportunities, generate strategy, and define success
  • Break down complex business challenges into clear research plans; lead the end to end research process and demonstrate strong storytelling skills to deliver significant impact to Figma’s businesses
  • Harness your product mindset and storytelling chops to influence product roadmap
  • Advocate for the role of Research as a strategic partner in the business process

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • 7+ years of experience in UX research or user insights at a high growth B2B SaaS company
  • Expertise in applying a variety of research methodologies, including both qualitative and quantitative techniques, to address product challenges spanning from opportunity identification, concept testing, to feature iterations
  • Shown success in identifying assumptions that underpin key challenges, prioritizing the most critical assumptions, and creating right sized research approaches to test those critical assumptions
  • A proven track record of gaining consensus from executive team members and cross disciplinary partners, going beyond mere research mechanics and findings to articulate a larger user story, and the “so what” to inspire action
  • Experience conducting research on AI-powered features or working on teams exploring AI applications

While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:

  • 2+ years in product design, user centric product management, product development, and/or front end engineering
  • A familiarity and depth of experience using Figma’s products

At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
