Responsibilities: The Senior Psychometrician will head technical projects, perform statistical reviews, guide project staff, and ensure quality control of deliverables, alongside designing and documenting procedures and guidelines.

Skills: Advanced knowledge of statistical procedures, psychometric methods, and statistical programming (e.g., R), with expertise in Item Response Theory and Sampling Theory.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in a relevant field with advanced training in psychometrics and at least 4 years of experience in assessment systems and statistical analysis.

Location: United States of America

Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation ranges for this position are between $80,000 - $120,000.

We are hiring a Senior Psychometrician for our team and we are looking for people who are passionate about innovating and inspiring others to reach their potential. The Senior Psychometrician will provide oversight of the technical quality of educational assessment activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Heads technical operational and research projects
• Plans, coordinates, and performs statistical review for basic and complex projects.
• Provides guidance and oversight to project staff on technical aspects of their work.
• Works autonomously on most phases of statistical and/or psychometric examination and provides guidance to less experienced psychometricians.
• Represents organization's position on technical issues to clients, and external boards and panels.
• Accountable for statistical design such as Variance Estimations (weighting), Sample Design, Statistical Modeling, and Psychometrics.
• Ensures quality control of deliverables.
• Designs, develops and documents technical and operational procedures and statistical guidelines.
• Applies advanced knowledge of statistical procedures, Psychometric methods and their applications and statistical programming (e.g., R).

Job Requirements

• Ph.D. in Statistics, Education Measurement, Psychometrics, Psychological Measurement, or related field with an emphasis on quantitative research or Psychometrics.
• Advanced training in Psychometric research and Statistics including Item Response Theory, Scaling and Equating, Computer Adaptive Testing, Sample Design and Longitudinal Data Analysis.
• At least 4 years of professional experience, including with assessment systems, Sampling Theory and Item Response Theory.
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team in a consulting environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
