Role Snapshot

Provide comprehensive counseling and mental health services to Old Dominion University students, including individual counseling, crisis intervention, and community outreach initiatives to support student wellbeing and academic success.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct counseling services to students, conduct mental health consultations, and develop outreach programs for the university community. Collaborate with university departments and external resources to address student mental health needs.
Skills & Tools: Strong counseling and therapeutic communication abilities, crisis intervention expertise, and proficiency in assessment and treatment planning. Excellent interpersonal skills, cultural competency, and ability to work collaboratively with diverse student populations.
Qualifications: Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related mental health field required. Current or ability to obtain appropriate licensure (LMHC, LCSW, or equivalent) and prior counseling experience preferred.
Location: In-Person
Compensation: $45K–$65K/yr (estimated)
