Summary

The CFO will serve as a strategic financial partner to the CEO and executive leadership, overseeing all financial activities including planning, accounting, treasury, and investor relations while driving financial strategy and ensuring the company's financial health and growth.

Key Responsibilities: Prepare and oversee all financial statements, manage accounting systems and compliance (ASC606/ASC605), develop KPIs and financial packages, lead budgeting and forecasting, handle debt reporting and tax compliance, and collaborate with executives on capital allocation, M&A activities, and strategic expansion opportunities. Supervise the accounting department and work cross-functionally to optimize operations and identify growth opportunities.
Skills & Tools: Proven expertise in financial systems, database applications, and accounting software with strong proficiency in ASC606 revenue recognition and GAAP compliance. Excellent leadership, analytical, organizational, written and verbal communication skills with ability to operate strategically in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Qualifications: Eight to ten years of financial management experience with proven track record as a CFO or senior financial leader, preferably in SaaS or recurring revenue businesses. Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred; CPA designation preferred.

Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Department: Accounting & Finance

Job Summary

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, directing and overseeing the financial activities including financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, tax, and investor relations. The CFO will drive financial strategy, manage financial systems, and ensure the company’s financial health through robust forecasting, reporting, and operational efficiency. This role will play a critical part in supporting the company’s growth trajectory and future expansion.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the CEO and SVP of Strategy and Operations to align financial strategies with business objectives while working in partnership with the private equity partners.
  • Own and lead the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
  • Oversee all accounting systems to ensure they are aligned with the organization's needs, supporting accurate financial reporting, compliance, and decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP by putting ASC606 in place while maintain ASC605 reporting for internal / debt reporting purposes.
  • Develop and monitor key KPIs including ARR waterfall, bookings, retention, renewal rates, revenue and gross margin by type, pricing, etc.
  • Set up monthly and quarterly financial and KPI packages.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting process. 
  • Handle debt reporting + compliance + interest payments.
  • Manage external tax resources to execute quarterly tax distributions.
  • Compare sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
  • Review planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
  • Analyze operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination.
  • Work with the CEO and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
  • Study long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share.
  • Partner with cross functional divisions to identify opportunities for expansion into new product areas.
  • Oversee capital allocation, investment strategies, and relationships with investment bankers for potential capital raises or M&A activities.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to oversee the review and ensure that all agreements, including MSAs, Partnership Agreements, and other contracts, align with accounting requirements and financial objectives.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversees Accounting department, budget preparation, and audit functions.
  • Works with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success as a CFO or senior financial leader, preferably in SaaS or recurring revenue businesses.
  • Excellent management, leadership, and supervisory skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in financial systems, database applications, and accounting software.
  • Experience with ASC606 revenue recognition and GAAP compliance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate with a growth mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
  • Eight to ten years of experience in financial management required.

Work Location:

  • Headquarters located in Orange, California and remote or hybrid work is available.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.


Compensation:

  • $300,000 annualized salary
