The Civil Rights Training Specialist develops and delivers training on Title IX and institutional equity topics to the UNL campus community and stakeholders. This role supports the Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance in promoting equal opportunity, nondiscrimination, and prevention of sexual misconduct across the university.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, conduct, and coordinate training projects and educational outreach initiatives on Title IX and related compliance topics; maintain databases of referral resources and community services; and participate as a member of the Institutional Equity and Compliance team.
Skills & Tools: Strong training and presentation skills with ability to communicate complex compliance topics effectively; expertise in Title IX, civil rights, and institutional equity; project coordination and database management capabilities; and collaborative teamwork skills.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in education, human resources, law, or a related field; prior experience developing and delivering training programs or working in a compliance or institutional equity role is typically expected.

Compensation: $55K–$75K/yr (estimated)
Job Description
The Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Civil Rights Training Specialist. Under the direction of the Title IX Coordinator and Associate to the Chancellor, the Civil Rights Training Specialist provides training for the campus community and other stakeholders on Title IX and other topics relevant to the work of the Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance. Responsibilities will include developing, conducting, coordinating, supervising and promoting a variety of projects and initiatives specific to equal opportunity, nondiscrimination and prevention of sexual misconduct, and related educational outreach efforts for UNL students and employees in compliance with policy, federal and state law. The successful candidate will develop and maintain a database of referral resources and community services. The Civil Rights Training Specialist serves as a member of Institutional Equity and Compliance team and participates in meetings as appropriate.
