Summary

Togetherhood seeks passionate sports and athletics instructors to teach after-school classes to K-12 students across Boston. Instructors will create engaging curricula and help students develop a passion for sports within a flexible, supportive marketplace model.

Key Responsibilities: Create age-appropriate sports curriculum, deliver consistent classes with prepared lesson plans, arrive on time, and help students understand the value and impact of the sport. Build memorable experiences that foster student growth and development in a fun and inclusive classroom environment.
Skills & Tools: Strong teaching ability with experience engaging school-age children, excellent communication and classroom management skills, and creativity in curriculum design. Must demonstrate enthusiasm, adaptability, cooperation, dependability, and the ability to work autonomously while appreciating clear expectations and support.
Qualifications: Experience teaching school-age children in a sports or athletics context is required, though formal teaching credentials are not explicitly mandated. Applicants without formal teaching experience should provide relevant certifications, training, or coaching background.

We’ve built an incredible network of over 400 teachers, coaches, and instructors in New York, Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Now Togetherhood is coming to Boston, and we’re looking for amazing instructors who are seeking flexible, good-paying, supplemental work, and are excited about having the freedom to use their own lesson plans and curriculum.

What You'll Do

As a member of our network, you will be matched with opportunities to teach sports or athletics focused classes K-12 students at schools, buildings, and communities across Boston. These teaching opportunities will be for terms that could last anywhere from 6 weeks to 18 weeks. As an after school instructor, you'll have the following responsibilities:

  • Conceive of and create an age-appropriate curriculum for your class
  • Create memorable experience for the children in your class to help them grow and develop a passion for your sport
  • Consistently arrive at your class on time (or early!), prepared with the lesson plan for the day
  • Help children understand why your sport is so wonderful and how it's helped shape you as a person
  • Togetherhood instructors earn $80 - $120 for each one hour class
