Summary

Acelero, Inc. seeks a passionate Business Coach to transform early childhood education by providing innovative financial coaching and support to Texas Family Child Care providers. This role directly supports the mission to eliminate achievement gaps for young children through evidence-based coaching and business development.

Key Responsibilities: Co-develop and facilitate Pre-Texas Rising Stars and Foundations of Finance tracks, deliver one-on-one and group coaching sessions on business operations, budgeting, and licensing compliance, and serve as a liaison between Family Child Care Homes and Acelero staff. Manage coaching hours effectively, document progress using Monday.com, and refer providers to specialized resources as needed.
Skills & Tools: Strong background in business finance, coaching, and consulting with familiarity with Quality Rating Systems and early childhood education contexts; bilingual Spanish/English skills are preferred. Excellent time management, communication, and ability to work with diverse, underrepresented communities.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, or related field with a minimum of 2+ years of coaching or advising experience and 2+ years in the early education sector. Must be willing to complete required trainings including Thrive Pathway© Core Business Coaching and Group Coaching Delivery Training.
Location: Remote from Texas, United States with 15% local or long-distance travel required

Business Coach (remote - TX)

Your Role:

As a Business Coach , you will beresponsible for co-developing and facilitating the Pre-Texas Rising Stars (TRS) and facilitating the Foundations of Finance learning tracks. These tracks are aimed at preparing participants for TRS participation by providing foundational knowledge and practical skills, while also

addressing the core topics of budgeting, cash flow, and business operations. The business coach will create a workbook and guide that support providers on their journey through Pre-TRS, and will use Monday.com to document their process. The Foundations of Finance learning track will occur in both

small groups, through micro learning cohorts, and one-on-one settings. Group coaching sessions include four (4) one-hour sessions delivered in a cohort of approximately 7 Family Child Care providers. One-on- One coaching sessions will focus on licensing and registration processes, operations and compliance,

QRIS eligibility and advancement, and Thrive Pathway© Business Curriculum.

What You’ll Do:

● Attend required trainings, including Thrive Pathway© Core Business Coaching (3 days) and Group Coaching Delivery Training (2 days)

● Provide direct support and coaching to assigned Texas Family Child Care Homes

● Support the development and refinement of learning tracks and materials, ensuring they meet the needs of diverse providers across Texas, including underrepresented communities

● Manage time effectively to optimize coaching hours and stay within the assigned budget

● Provide one-on-one coaching (in English and Spanish) to family child care providers, focusing on business operations, licensing support, QRIS advancement, and financial foundations.

● Facilitate group coaching tracks (micro learning cohorts), delivering structured sessions using workbooks and guides designed for specific business topics such as cash flow, budgeting, and Pre-TRS preparation

● Refer programs to non-business specialized outside support and resources, such as those available through state licensing, child care resource & referral agencies, Texas Association for the Education of Young Children (TAEYC), among others

● Operate as a liaison with Family Child Care Homes, Shine Early Learning, and Civitas staff where appropriate

● Collaborate with the Project Manager and Civitas to align coaching services with the broader Texas early learning landscape

● Achieves compliance with project deliverables in providing learning tracks, workbooks and guides, and business coaching and services

● Participate in and contributes to Advisory Committee recruitment and engagement, ensuring provider voices shape ongoing service delivery

● Utilize Monday.com or data entry, session tracking, and reporting of coaching activities

● Participate in assigned meetings, events and training as required

What You Bring:

1. Bachelor’s in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred

2. Minimum of 2 years experience supporting individuals in understanding their personal or business finances

3. Minimum of 2 years experience in consulting, advising, or coaching

4. Familiarity with any state’s Quality Rating System (Texas preferred)

5. Minimum 2 years experience in the Early Education sector

6. Thrive Pathway© Business Coaching Certification preferred

7. Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish)

8. Physical exam and background checks are required for this position

9. Travel is required locally or long-distance up to 15% of the time for work-related meetings and functions; must have reliable personal transportation as travel from site to site is required

10. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

11. Texas residency required
