As a Senior Finance & Business Analyst at CFC, you will serve as a strategic partner who brings deep SaaS financial expertise, advanced analytics, and strong business acumen to support organizational decision-making. This role focuses on analyzing subscription revenue performance—including ARR, MRR, retention, churn, cohorts, and product adoption—and translating complex data into actionable insights for executive leadership. The ideal candidate has significant experience supporting SaaS business models, building financial models for subscription-based forecasting, and developing analytical tools that drive revenue and customer insights.

What you’ll do when you join us:

  • Analyze complex business and financial data to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses that offer real-time visibility into operational and subscription-based KPI’s.
  • Build advanced financial and analytical models to forecast performance, assess ROI, evaluate business scenarios, and improve forecast accuracy.
  • Create compelling visualizations, narratives, and presentations to effectively communicate trends, risks, opportunities, and insights.
  • Monitor and interpret leading and lagging indicators such as product adoption, customer health, pipeline coverage, and sales velocity to proactively identify business risks and opportunities.
  • Identify and interpret patterns, trends, and emerging signals—including in situations with incomplete data—using strong analytical judgment, assumptions, and proxies as needed.
  • Independently identify and pursue industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies, proactively incorporating relevant insights into analytical approaches and recommendations.
  • Ensure accuracy and reliability by incorporating robust checks and balances into reports, dashboards, and models.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to translate business needs into clear, detailed technical requirements and ensure alignment on definitions and methodologies for core SaaS metrics.
  • Support database development projects to ensure data standards are met.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and implement solutions accordingly.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for processes, requirements, methodologies, and analytical outputs.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • 7+ years’ experience in financial analysis and business analytics, with at least 3 years in a SaaS environment working with subscription‑based performance metrics such as ARR, MRR, retention, churn, and cohort analysis
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
  • Solid understanding of data structures, analytics, ETL processing, and data warehousing
  • Advanced skills in Power BI (Power Query M, DAX), Excel and SQL
  • Experience with CRM & ERP systems, subscription business models, and SaaS performance metrics; Ed Tech experience preferred
  • Demonstrate strong self-direction by proactively identifying emerging trends, relevant metrics, and analytical opportunities, leveraging innovative approaches to obtain insights and inform decision making
  • Proven ability to support data-driven decision-making, at all levels, through well-structured analysis, clear narratives, and strategic recommendations.
  • Solid understanding of core financial, subscription revenue, and business concepts.
  • Strong data visualization and data storytelling capabilities
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and sound professional judgement

Note: This position is remote; employees are eligible to work remotely in any of the following states: AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, MA, NJ, NM, NY, OH, OR, PA, TX, VA, WA. Travel Requirements This role involves occasional travel to the Seattle office, typically between 1 to 4 times per year depending on the position.

The hiring range for this position is $115,000-142,000 annually. The pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
