Are you ready to dive into the core operations of a dynamic organization? As our Staff Accountant, you will be essential to maintaining the financial integrity and smooth operation of the company.
What You'll Do
- Reconcile reports to the general ledger.
- Account for Revenue and Deferred Revenue in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and ASC 606.
- Perform bank reconciliations for all designated bank accounts.
- Upload payroll for staff twice each month, including a basic review for reasonableness across expense categories.
- Maintain the trial balance, which includes:
- Completing balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Producing and supporting lead sheets required for audit.
- Monitoring and correcting items incorrectly booked.
- Review customer contracts to assist in revenue accounting, discussing with business leads as necessary.
- Support the associated entity's accounting and trial balance needs as required.
- Assist external auditors in the preparation of the audited financial statements.
- Provide audit support for account balances.
- Participate in assigned meetings, events, and training as required.
Non-essential Duties include:
- Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, P&L statements, and other financial reports.
- Assist in analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligation incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
- Perform any and all other duties (or functions) as assigned.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business, fiscal management, or a related field; CPA preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience with solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles including revenue recognition.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, methods and legal requirements, journal entries, balance sheet, fixed assets.
- Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.
- Travel required locally or long-distance up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.
