Job Description

Our Mission and Opportunity

Early education is one of the most important determinants of childhood outcomes, a critical support for working families, and a $175B market that remains underserved by modern technology. Brightwheel is the largest, fastest growing, and most loved platform in early ed, trusted by millions of educators and families every day. We are a three-time Cloud 100 company, backed by top investors including Addition, Bessemer, Emerson Collective, Lowercase Capital, Notable Capital, and Mark Cuban.

Our Team

Our team is passionate, talented, and customer-focused. We embody our Leadership Principles in our work and culture. We are a distributed team with remote employees across every US time zone, as well as select offices in the US and internationally.

Who You Are

You are a builder at your core, energized by turning ideas into real, working solutions quickly. You bring strong fluency with AI tools and have moved beyond basic prompting to designing and implementing scalable, reliable workflows that drive meaningful impact. With a natural bias for action, you prioritize progress over perfection—knowing when to ship incrementally versus when to refine further. You thrive in ambiguous environments, breaking down loosely defined problems into clear, executable steps while maintaining a sharp focus on outcomes.

You operate with a growth mindset, actively seeking feedback and continuously improving both how you work and what you deliver. Curious and fast-learning, you adapt quickly as tools and priorities evolve. You take full ownership of your work end-to-end, proactively driving initiatives forward without waiting for perfect direction. Above all, you are motivated by impact —leveraging AI to eliminate manual work, increase efficiency, and unlock new capabilities across teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and ship AI-powered automations that improve efficiency and eliminate manual work

  • Translate business problems into practical, working AI-driven solutions

  • Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate using modern AI tools

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand needs and refine solutions over time

  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes through automation

  • Balance speed and quality—moving quickly while ensuring solutions are usable and effective

What You’ve Done

  • Experience using AI tools beyond basic prompting or “consulting” them

  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable automations and workflows leveraging AI

  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and incorporate them into your work

  • Shown that you can take something from idea → working output

  • Evidence of moving quickly and shipping work (projects, experiments, tools, etc.)

  • (Nice to have) Exposure to business problems, operations, or stakeholder-driven work

  • (Nice to have) Experience in fast-paced or startup environments
