Qualifications: Candidates must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in computer engineering or related field, and have completed introductory engineering courses.
Location: Corporate Office in Dublin, Ohio, USA, with a hybrid work requirement of three days in-office per week.
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation ranges for this position are between $15 - $30.

This internship is anything but ordinary. If that’s what you’re looking for, keep reading. We are seeking a Software Engineer Intern for our internship program. Dates for the internship will be from May 18, 2026, to August 14, 2026, working full time during the summer. This role offers a hybrid work environment with three days in-office at our headquarters in Dublin, Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Youwill be part of an experienced team of software developers whofrequentlyrelease enhancements and new products for use by OCLC libraries and will see their work used in production services.
- Use industry standard programming techniques to translate requirements and designs into code.
- Analyze and solve problems in existing systems.
- Design, code, and test multiple modules of a systemin a timely manner.
- Participates in unit, system, and acceptance testing by designing tests, building test data, testexecutionand evaluation, along with recommending/making improvements/fixes to the tested system.
- Assistsin developing and interpreting requirements.
Requirements
- Candidates mustbe currentlyenrolled as students at the time of the internship.
- Working towards a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or related degree.
- Completion of first-level engineering courses
- Good familiarity with Java
- Experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS a plus
- Experience with databases
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem solving and analytic skills
- Excellent customer and team-interaction skills
- Pro-active and self-motivated
