The job details are as follows:

This internship is anything but ordinary. If that’s what you’re looking for, keep reading. We are seeking a Software Engineer Intern for our internship program. Dates for the internship will be from May 18, 2026, to August 14, 2026, working full time during the summer. This role offers a hybrid work environment with three days in-office at our headquarters in Dublin, Ohio.

Responsibilities

  • You will be part of an experienced team of software developers whofrequentlyrelease enhancements and new products for use by OCLC libraries and will see their work used in production services.
  • Use industry standard programming techniques to translate requirements and designs into code.
  • Analyze and solve problems in existing systems.
  • Design, code, and test multiple modules of a systemin a timely manner.
  • Participates in unit, system, and acceptance testing by designing tests, building test data, testexecutionand evaluation, along with recommending/making improvements/fixes to the tested system.
  • Assistsin developing and interpreting requirements.

Requirements

  • Candidates mustbe currentlyenrolled as students at the time of the internship.
  • Working towards a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or related degree.
  • Completion of first-level engineering courses
  • Good familiarity with Java
  • Experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS a plus
  • Experience with databases
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytic skills
  • Excellent customer and team-interaction skills
  • Pro-active and self-motivated
