As the Manager, Accounting, you’ll:

  • Own the financial reporting and close process. You’ll support U.S. GAAP accounting and reporting for key areas like Leases (ASC 842), Stock-Based Compensation (ASC 718), Prepaids, Accruals, Other Liabilities, and Inventory Accounting. You’ll also prepare audit schedules and partner with internal and external auditors for annual audits.
  • Drive finance operations. You’ll lead the end-to-end accounts payable and expense reimbursement processes, managing vendor onboarding, invoice processing, and payment runs. You’ll also oversee employee expense programs and manage annual 1099 processing.
  • Develop and lead your team. You’ll manage and professionally develop a team of financial reporting professionals, fostering accountability and growth. You’ll establish KPIs, provide guidance and training, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate across the business. You’ll work cross-functionally to streamline workflows, strengthen financial processes, and communicate financial information and insights to senior management and other stakeholders. You’ll also support the budgeting and forecasting process.

Location

For this role, we're considering candidates who live within a commuting distance of our offices in Lincoln or Omaha, Nebraska. We have a flexible work policy, but this role requires three days per week on site at one of these two offices.

Must-Haves

  • Experience. You have a degree in accounting or finance, and at least seven years of experience in accounting-related roles. You’ve also spent three years in a managerial role.
  • GAAP knowledge. You have a strong knowledge of generally accepted U.S. accounting principles and external reporting processes.
  • Adaptable. You’re comfortable in a fast-paced environment and know how to work with multiple stakeholders on various projects, each with their own challenges.

Nice-to-Haves

  • CPA license. We’d consider this a bonus on top of your professional and educational experience.
  • Systems familiarity. We work with NetSuite, Tipalti and Navan. If you’ve used these programs before, that’s a plus.
  • Global company background. You’ve worked at a company with international operations.
  • Public accounting or public company experience. You have exposure to Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC reporting requirements.

Our Role

  • Champion work-life harmony. We’ll give you the flexibility you need in your work life (e.g., flexible vacation time, company-wide holidays and timeout (meeting-free) days, remote work options and more) so you can enjoy your personal life too.
  • Guarantee autonomy. We have an open, honest culture and we trust our people from day one. Your team will support you, but you’ll own your work and have the agency to try new ideas.
  • Encourage career growth. We’re lifelong learners who encourage professional development. We’ll give you tons of resources and opportunities to keep growing.
  • Provide an environment to help you succeed. We've invested in our offices, designing incredible spaces with our employees in mind. But whether you’re at the office or working remotely, we’ll provide you the tech stack and hardware to do your best work.
  • Support your mental and physical health. We care about our employees’ wellbeing. Our Employee Assistance Program, employee resource groups and fitness partner Peerfit have you covered.
  • Cover your medicalinsurance. We have multiple plans to pick from to ensure you’ll have the coverage you (and your dependents) want, including vision, dental, fertility healthcare and family forming benefits.
