Library Specialist I provides user assistance, student supervision, and operational support in the Learning Commons at Perry Library during evening, overnight, and weekend hours. The role ensures facilities oversight and maintains a welcoming environment for students during off-peak service times.
Key Responsibilities: Assist library users with questions and navigation, supervise students in the Learning Commons, provide operational support, and oversee facilities maintenance and security during evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
Skills & Tools: Strong customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and supervise others; knowledge of library systems and resources; attention to detail and responsibility for facilities oversight.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or customer service experience in a library or academic setting preferred; ability to work flexible hours including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Location: In-Person
Compensation: $32K–$42K/yr (estimated)
