Summary

The Senior Treasury Analyst supports treasury operations for Strategic Education, managing cash positions, forecasting, banking relationships, and risk management activities. This role is critical for ensuring liquidity, compliance, and effective financial planning across all business segments.

Key Responsibilities: Daily responsibilities include analyzing cash positions and bank activity, preparing cash forecasts, managing wire and ACH payments, administering bank accounts, and supporting risk management and insurance oversight. The role also involves facilitating audits, SOX compliance reviews, and preparing quarterly/annual financial reports for executive leadership and the Board.
Skills & Tools: Advanced finance and accounting knowledge with expert-level Microsoft Excel proficiency are essential. Strong analytical abilities, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and knowledge of treasury operations, financial reporting, and treasury management systems are required.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is required, with 3-5 years of relevant treasury, finance, or banking experience. A Master's degree and professional certifications such as CTP or CFA are preferred.

The Senior Analyst, Treasury will support all aspects of treasury operations. This includes assisting with the development and maintenance of cash management and banking solutions for all business segments of the company, supporting the cash forecasting process, as well as risk management activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Calculate net cash positions and analyze daily bank activity for all SEI-related accounts. Ensure daily liquidity requirements are met and maintained.
  • Track and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly cash movements.
  • Assist in the preparation of short and long-term cash forecasts.
  • Support financial, operational, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Create and manage wires and ACH payments.
  • Administer bank accounts including user management and account services.
  • Support risk management activities and maintain direct relationships with insurance providers.
  • Facilitate semi-annual reviews of insurance coverage versus needs and coordinate annual renewals.
  • Assist with quarterly audits and SOX compliance reviews.
  • Prepare and maintain quarterly and annual memos related to treasury operations, compliance, and financial performance.
  • Create monthly investment accrual calculations.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly end reports, Audit Committee/Board of Directors materials, and monthly executive presentations.

Job Skills:

  • Excellent finance and accounting skills.
  • Expert Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical abilities, strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of operations and senior management.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting/planning, treasury operations, risk management, treasury management systems.

Work Experience:

  • 3 - 5 years of relevant treasury, finance or banking experience.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
  • Masters in a similar field is preferable

Certificates, licenses and registrations:

  • CTP or CFA preferred.

Other:

  • Must be able to travel occasionally should a business need arise. For most roles travel would not be common. Travel may involve plane, car or metro. Travel will be more common for roles such as Account Executives (25 - 50%), senior leaders (10 – 20%) or Capella Core Faculty (5 – 10%).
