Senior Graphic Designer Overview:

As we scale, we’re looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to help shape and elevate the Incident IQ brand through compelling, strategic design. This role will bring creative concepts to life across digital and print channels, ensuring our brand identity is consistent, innovative, and aligned to the needs of K-12 audiences.

This senior-level individual contributor role is ideal for a designer who thrives on turning strategy into visuals, partnering with marketers and copywriters, and balancing hands-on execution with brand stewardship. This position is hybrid-preferred in our Atlanta office but offers flexibility for remote candidates.

Senior Graphic Designer Responsibilities: 

Brand Stewardship

  • Evolve and enforce Incident IQ’s brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all touchpoints
  • Build and maintain scalable brand systems, reusable templates, design patterns, and asset libraries for efficiency and consistency

Design for Digital & Print

  • Lead creative development, from concept to delivery, of a variety of marketing assets for campaigns, web, email, social, events, presentations, and print
  • Prepare files optimized for each channel’s requirements (social vs. web vs. print)
  • Incorporate illustration, product imagery, and layout expertise into projects

Bring Strategy to Life

  • Translate marketing and product messaging into compelling visuals for brand visibility and business development
  • Assist in developing creative direction and building clear creative briefs in collaboration with the Creative Services Manager, Demand Gen team, and external partners
  • Apply audience-centered design thinking, ensuring visuals resonate with target personas and stakeholders
  • Ability to translate complex campaign goals into cohesive, story-driven visuals that reinforce key messaging across multiple touchpoints

Collaborate Across Teams

  • Partner with Demand Gen, Creative Services/Content, Product Marketing, Events, and Sales Enablement teams to align visual and verbal messaging
  • Coordinate and collaborate with freelance or agency partners to ensure brand consistency and quality, leading design reviews as needed
  • Provide clear communication and project updates to creative leadership and stakeholders

Stay Innovative

  • Keep up with design trends, tools, and technologies to keep creative work fresh and impactful
  • Leverage performance data and stakeholder feedback to continuously refine design approaches and maximize business impact

Senior Graphic Designer Requirements:

  • 5–8+ years of professional design experience in marketing, communications
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in both digital and print design
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Ability to balance creative vision with strategic goals, translating concepts into visuals that drive engagement
  • Strong understanding of platform-specific design best practices (social, email, web, print)
  • Strong understanding of accessibility best practices (color contrast, typography, alternative formats) to ensure visuals are inclusive and ADA-compliant
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills — comfortable presenting design decisions and incorporating feedback
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with digital marketing environments, including accessibility, responsive design, and file optimization
  • Organized and proactive, with strong project management and collaboration skills

Senior Graphic Designer Nice to Have:

  • Experience collaborating on or editing copy to ensure cohesive messaging, catering to each channel
  • Knowledge of other design tools, like Canva or Figma
  • Knowledge of AI-assisted design tools, and how they can enhance workflows
  • Comfort analyzing campaign results to inform design improvements
  • Knowledge of web design best practices
  • Basic knowledge of designing for motion graphics or video
