Position Summary: 

The School Psychologist works in collaboration with students, parents, teachers, and school administrators to support student academic achievement, social/emotional functioning, and the special education evaluation and eligibility process, whenever applicable.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

  • Completes psycho-educational evaluations and re-evaluations as part of a multidisciplinary team evaluation and facilitate associated meetings
  • Completes evaluations within the appropriate timelines
  • Uses a variety of appropriate instruments/strategies to assess student abilities: intellectual, academic, social-emotional, and behavioral assessments for special education eligibility or 504 accommodations
  • Score, analyze and interpret intellectual, academic, social/emotional/behavioral and other psychometric assessments.
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, parents, and intervention teams to identify needs and tailor strategies
  • Participate in MET, IEP, crisis teams; act as liaison with community agencies to support student needs
  • Maintain professional credentials, follow ethical codes
  • Collaborates with their supervisor weekly to review student cases, protocols and procedures

Education/Training:

  • Completion of a Graduate degree in School Psychology

At least 5 years’ experience in a School Psychologist position preferred

Environmental Conditions:  Usual office setting. Travel within the state of Arizona may be required.
