Location: This position is located in Alpharetta, USA and does not mention any remote work options.
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation ranges for this position are between $15 - $25.
What we are looking for
We're looking for a Social Media & Communications Intern to provide bandwidth to amplify our brand voice, streamline engagement, and contribute to demand generation efforts. With the continued expansion of our marketing programs, there is a clear need for dedicated support in social media, press, and communications. A Social Media & Communications Intern would add immediate value by increasing brand presence, enhancing engagement, and supporting both digital and traditional communications. This role aligns with our demand generation goals by ensuring that every event, campaign, press release, and content initiative is fully amplified and effectively communicated to our core audience of public education leaders.
What You’ll Do
The intern would focus on the following core tasks:
Social Media Support
- Draft, schedule, and publish content across LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, and Reddit.
- Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and elevate potential leads or questions to the marketing team.
- Assist in tracking analytics and reporting on performance to inform optimization.
Content Development & Repurposing
- Support the creation of short-form content (graphics, copy, captions) from existing marketing assets (webinars, blog posts, case studies).
- Partner with design to create engaging visual assets that align with brand guidelines.
- Draft internal communications and event promotion posts as needed.
Campaign & Event Amplification
- Support promotional activities for webinars, conferences, and product launches.
- Ensure campaign messaging is amplified consistently across social and communication channels.
- Assist in live social posting during major events and conferences.
Press & Communications Support
- Support the drafting of press releases as needed for product updates, partnerships, customer wins, and industry events.
- Coordinate award submissions to highlight company achievements and innovation in EdTech.
- Maintain media lists and assist in outreach to education and technology trade publications.
- Support typical B2B communication efforts such as partner announcements, thought leadership articles, and customer success spotlights.
Brand Voice & Community Engagement
- Help maintain consistency in tone and messaging across all communication platforms.
- Identify trending topics in EdTech and public education to inform social content and media outreach.
- Monitor competitor activity to provide insights and recommendations.

What You’ll Bring
Education
- Currently a senior (4th-year student) pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Coursework or academic experience in social media strategy, content marketing, public relations, or digital communications preferred.
Marketing & Social Media Skills
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit).
- Familiarity with content scheduling and analytics tools to measure engagement and optimize performance.
Writing & Communication Skills
- Excellent ability to write clear, engaging, and professional copy across multiple formats.
- Strong understanding of tone, grammar, and voice adaptation for diverse audiences.
Content Development & Creative Skills
- Experience creating or assisting with visual and written marketing content.
- Familiarity with basic design tools (Canva, Adobe Express, or similar) to support branded content creation.
Analytical & Organizational Skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of analytics and reporting tools for tracking performance and results.
Press & Communications Support Skills
- Interest or exposure to public relations and media outreach.
