About the Role
The Principal Product Manager for Enterprise Systems drives BrainPOP’s internal technology ecosystem — leading the squad responsible for building and optimizing the platforms and tools that power our content creation, management, and distribution workflows. This includes our assessment item generator, content management, and authoring systems, as well as other integrated internal tools that promote efficiency, scalability, and quality across BrainPOP’s teams.
By translating company-wide strategy and operational needs into scalable system capabilities, this role ensures that BrainPOP’s infrastructure supports our evolving product portfolio and empowers cross-functional teams (Learning Design, Engineering, Product, and Creative) to deliver exceptional learning experiences faster and with higher quality. The Principal Product Manager serves as a bridge between technical delivery and business enablement, aligning system investments with measurable business outcomes, such as faster time to create and publish content, higher content accuracy, and improved cross-tool data integration.
This role will be based at our HQ in NYC or remote in the US (Eastern time zone preferred).
What You'll Do
- Relentlessly pursue efficiency improvements to our content development processes to enable BrainPOP to create more of our key differentiator - our engaging content.
- Lead your squad to discover, develop, and deliver user value through cross-functional collaboration
- Translate insights from internal users into product requirements and feature concepts
- Manage a clear and actionable product roadmap, prioritizing effectively across short-term wins and long-term goals
- Establish and monitor product KPIs, using data to inform decisions and optimize outcomes
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Learning designers, creative team, product managers) to ensure adoption, alignment, and business impact
- Design and execute lightweight experiments and MVPs to test assumptions and validate new approaches to develop the most engaging and impactful education content available.
- Synthesize market, behavioral, and qualitative research into product insights and recommendations
- Stay close to your stakeholders—ensuring your product direction is deeply informed by user needs
- Contribute to and elevate squad rituals, Agile practices, and cross-team collaboration
- Track, analyze, and report on project health, delivery progress, and squad KPIs, translating complex information into clear and concise insights for stakeholders at all levels.
- Navigate and proactively manage dependencies across squads and teams, aligning all contributors toward shared goals.
- Identify risks and proactively remove obstacles to ensure delivery success.

On Your Resume
- 8+ years of product management experience in the EdTech industry, with a focus on content authoring systems, AI generative frameworks, and publishing industries
- Experience as a project lead, driving the delivery and timeline for architecture projects and deliverables from start to finish
- Experience building AI workflows that drive efficiency and velocity for content creators
- Understanding of state standard frameworks, core curricula, and alignment of content to those standards
- Experience in leveraging the Agile framework of SCRUM for software delivery
- Knowledge of and experience using tools including: Jira, Confluence, Mixpanel, Tableau

The BrainPOP team operates in a hybrid work environment: Each role has remote flexibility and an in-person component at our New York headquarters or other meeting locations. Based on the requirements of a specific role, we may prioritize hiring within a commutable distance of our New York headquarters or in another region relevant to that role.
