Summary

Facilitate interactive workshops and group sessions at the Catalyst Conference to guide FFA chapters in community service initiatives and leadership development. Help equip students and advisors with practical tools to identify community needs, build partnerships, and launch meaningful service projects.

Key Responsibilities: Lead both large and small group conference sessions, present curriculum content, provide participant coaching and motivation, and assist with onsite logistical planning throughout the four-day event. Participate in virtual pre-conference training and perform duties including counseling participants and supporting their learning experience.
Skills & Tools: Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and virtual meeting tools like Zoom. Must demonstrate excellent listening skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse groups.
Qualifications: Preference given to candidates with National FFA facilitation experience and demonstrated commitment to community service. Must be able to perform the physical and mental demands of coaching and leading groups throughout the conference.

Description

Job Summary 

The Catalyst Conference facilitator will be responsible for facilitating small and large group sessions as well as some logistical planning on site for the conference. 

The Catalyst Conference is a high-energy, hands-on experience for FFA chapters ready to fuel change through service. This conference equips students and advisors with practical tools to identify authentic community needs, conduct community mapping, and build strong local partnerships.

Through interactive workshops, practice scenarios, and hands-on service, students will practice real-world leadership skills: planning, communication, problem-solving, and evaluation, while advisors gain strategies to support and sustain chapter-led service initiatives.

By the end of the conference, each chapter team will leave with a step-by-step plan to launch meaningful community service and service-learning projects back home with a renewed commitment to living the FFA motto, Living to Serve.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, presenting the conference curriculum, leading a small group, providing counsel, and motivating participants. Staff members are required to participate in virtual training prior to the conference. Preference is given to those with National FFA facilitation experience.

Requirements

Essential Functions 

  • Must be able to coach, guide, and motivate participants. 
  • Must be able to lead both large and small groups.
  • Must be able to perform the physical and mental demands of the position. 
  • Must be able to work independently and in groups. 
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, listening, and verbal communication skills. 
  • Must be able to interact and work with a diverse group of internal and/or external customers. 
  • Must be able to analyze and solve problems. 
  • Must be able to confidently use Microsoft programs (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc).
  • Must be computer literate and be able to make and receive Zoom/phone calls. 
  • Must have personal access to, and be able to use, a computer or laptop.
  • Must be willing to spend extra time planning for the conference. 
  • Other duties as assigned

Lodging, transportation, and meal expenses will be covered 

 A select group of applicants will be chosen to complete an online interview, and all applicants will be notified of their selection status by 04/24/2026
