Summary

Senior Account Executive at PlayOn! Sports responsible for driving revenue growth through relationship development and closing new business with ad agencies, media buyers, and direct clients in the sports media marketplace. This role combines strategic partnership building with hands-on sales execution to grow the company's digital media offerings.

Key Responsibilities: Lead relationship development with VP/SVP/C-level contacts at holding companies and direct clients; pursue and close new business while managing renewals across display, video, social, and content channels. Support client entertainment initiatives, participate in post-sale optimization, maintain real-time reporting, and collaborate cross-functionally with Client Strategy, Ad Operations, and Revenue teams.
Skills & Tools: Deep expertise in digital media sales (display, video, audio, social, branded content, data/targeting) with strong negotiation and closing abilities; excellent written and verbal communication, strategic thinking, and ability to thrive in hybrid work environments. Proficiency in MS Office, GSuite, and revenue reporting systems like Salesforce; demonstrated ability to build bridges across teams and drive multichannel partnerships.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of digital media sales experience with proven track record of exceeding revenue targets. Established VP/SVP/C-level relationships with major holding companies (Publicis, Dentsu, GroupM, OMG, Havas, IPG) and demonstrated success in acquiring new business and driving revenue growth.

Compensation: $120K–$180K/yr (estimated)

Job Description

In this role, you can expect to:
  • Consistently achieve or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets 
  • Lead relationship development with assigned ad agencies, direct clients, and the entire media buying and planning chain, tapping into existing VP/SVP/C-level contacts for results
  • Pursue and close new business while driving renewals with existing clients 
  • Build and evangelize unique proactive & reactive (e.g. RFP) multichannel partnerships spanning display, video, social, content, and more
  • Participate in client entertainment initiatives to support relationship development 
  • Aid in post-sale execution and optimization to ensure client satisfaction 
  • Engage in ongoing feedback loops with internal departments and stakeholders to ensure marketplace knowledge and insights are being utilized internally  
  • Uphold quality, real-time reporting via boostr and other internal systems 
  • Communicate and collaborate internally with other departments including Client Strategy, Ad Operations, Revenue Strategy, and Content / Editorial 
  • To thrive in this role, you have :
  • Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years digital media sales experience 
  • Deep VP/SVP/C-level relationships with holding companies (e.g. Publicis, Dentsu, GroupM, OMG, Havas, IPG, etc.) and direct clients
  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding revenue targets through multichannel creative partnerships
  • Proven success in acquiring new business quickly and stewarding client and agency relationships that drive revenue growth 
  • Experience with negotiating and closing brand partnerships
  • Ability to thrive in multiple sales environments (remote and in-person) and effectively work with others to achieve broader business results 
  • Organized, strategic thinker who’s able to take concepts to reality 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Interest in and enthusiasm for high school and broader sports marketplace 
  • Understanding of the digital landscape including Display, Video, Audio, Social, Branded Content, Events, Data/Targeting, Ad Measurement, and more 
  • Fluent in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive) & GSuite (Docs, Sheets, GDrive), and familiarity with SalesForce or other revenue reporting systems
