Summary

The Product Manager, Operations at Incident IQ translates product strategy into development tasks for K-12 school operations workflows, serving as a product ambassador and bridge between product strategy, engineering, and customers.

Key Responsibilities: Drive execution of 3-month product roadmaps, develop user stories with acceptance criteria, collaborate with design and engineering teams through Agile ceremonies, and support go-to-market initiatives. Partner with Customer Success to resolve product issues and maintain product analytics dashboards.
Skills & Tools: Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills with proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies, project management tools (Jira, Asana, Azure DevOps, Confluence), and data-driven product design. Experience with workflow solutions or K-12 market knowledge required.
Qualifications: 2+ years of SaaS B2B product management experience using Agile/Scrum methodologies with background in workflow solutions or K-12 education sector. BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, IS, or related technical field; product management training (Pragmatic Marketing, 280 Group, etc.) preferred.
Location: Atlanta or Alpharetta, Georgia, United States
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation for this role is $95,000 – $130,000/year based on title, seniority, and location.

Job Description

Product Manager, Operations Overview:

The Product Manager, Operations is a highly contributing and valuable member for Incident IQ’s Scrum teams. As the Product Manager, Operations, you will be responsible for translating the product strategy, as defined by the Strategy Product Manager, into tasks for development while working closely with the UI/UX and engineering resources to ensure a right-sized, quality product. This role is also a product ambassador both internally and externally. Touchpoints will be necessary with key internal stakeholders for go-to-market activities, with customer success to help troubleshoot customer problems, and with external customers to validate potential solutions. Outstanding communication and analytical skills are instrumental to this role.

Product Manager, Operations Responsibilities: 

  • Drive the execution of the 3-month product roadmap to improve the workflows and productivity of K-12 school operations.
  • Develop clear user stories and requirements with defined acceptance criteria to facilitate product development.
  • Serve as product ambassador internally and externally, sharing knowledge and answering questions.
  • Participate in recurring Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Demos, Refinement, etc.
  • Collaborate with Designers to bring an outstanding user experience to life.
  • Work closely with Customer Success to resolve key product issues.
  • Support Go-to-market initiatives, especially product launches.
  • Plan and prioritize product development and product feature backlog.
  • Translate the Product Manager’s strategy into tasks for development.
  • Responsible for mapping new features and creating dashboards to ensure product usage can be evaluated within iiQ’s third-party Product Usage Analytics Tool.
  • Serve as a liaison between Product and Engineering.
  • Develop detailed product feature specifications and ensure relevant teams clearly understand them.
  • Mitigate roadblocks to achieving sprint/release goals.

Product Manager, Operations Requirements:

  • 2+ year track record of success in product management building SaaS solutions for B2B markets using Agile, Scrum, and/or SAFe methodologies.
  • Experience with workflow solutions (ServiceNow, BMC, etc.) or in the K-12 market is required.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, IS, or a related technical field.
  • Proficiency with applicable project management tools and technology (Asana, Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Miro)
  • Understanding of business value related to features and functions.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven product design and decision-making.
  • Experience in project management in gaining commitment, engagement, and alignment among team members.
  • Experience (or strong interest) in working in a fast-paced environment.
  • At ease with ambiguity and able to roll up sleeves where necessary.
  • Training in product management curriculum preferred (i.e., Pragmatic Marketing, 280 Group, Silicon Valley Product Group, General Assembly).
