Summary

Key Responsibilities: Develop and ship new features for iOS and Android apps using React Native, collaborate with Product and Design teams to implement intuitive experiences, and troubleshoot issues while improving mobile performance based on user feedback.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in React Native and strong fundamentals in JavaScript/TypeScript, with experience in mobile development and eagerness to learn and collaborate in a fast-paced environment. Exposure to backend work or APIs is a nice-to-have.
Qualifications: 1–2+ years of professional mobile development experience (including internships or substantial project work) with a bias to action and passion for building functional, delightful products. Strong communication skills and ability to take ownership while partnering effectively with cross-functional teams.
Location: Hybrid in New York, New York, United States (remote on Mondays and Fridays, in-office Tuesday to Thursday)
Compensation: $135,000 – $165,000/year

About the Role

As a Junior Mobile Engineer at Campus, you’ll contribute to the development of our mobile app used daily by thousands of students. You’ll work in React Native to deliver high-impact features, help improve mobile performance, and grow rapidly as an engineer on a fast-paced, collaborative team.

  • Build and ship new features in Campus’s iOS and Android apps using React Native.
  • Partner closely with Product and Design to implement intuitive, engaging mobile experiences.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving team-wide engineering practices.

  • A compensation package that includes a base salary ($135K - $165K) + equity grant
  • Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary will be localized.

Where we’re located: Tribeca, NY
