Skills & Tools: Strong relationship-building and emotional intelligence with excellent communication skills; execution-oriented problem-solving, resourcefulness, and ability to drive cross-functional teams including product, finance, and marketing.
Qualifications: Proven track record as a top seller in previous roles with experience in state, strategic, and enterprise EdTech sales (not mid-market); deep connections within the Canadian education market.
Location: Canada
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation for this role is CA$120,000 – CA$180,000/year based on title, seniority, and location.

Account Executive (AE) - Canada

Role Overview

The Account Executive will play a crucial role in introducing large and complex school districts in Canada to MagicSchool. By effectively developing and managing a robust sales pipeline, the AE will ensure that our platform is procured to alleviate teacher burnout and enhance student learning. This role requires a proactive approach to tailoring our offerings, working both internally and with clients, to secure MagicSchool as the solution of choice amidst competitive pressures.


Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve Quota: Close deals and ensure robust pipeline development to achieve booking targets.
  • Establish Presence: Position MagicSchool as the preferred solution for large K-12 school districts.
  • Build Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with superintendent cabinet members to drive consensus and procurement decisions.
  • Expand Reach: Leverage successes in one district to facilitate conversations and sales with neighboring districts.
  • Navigate Processes: Manage complex procurement, evaluation, and negotiation processes, including legal, RFPs, pilots, and POCs.
  • Collaborate Internally: Work with product, finance, success, marketing, and other teams to customize our offerings to meet the needs of large districts.
