Summary

The Early Learning Specialist supports early childhood education programs by overseeing implementation of Acelero Learning's systems and ensuring compliance with standards. This role focuses on helping children achieve school readiness goals through effective management and instructional strategies.

Key Responsibilities: Oversees full implementation of early learning systems, policies, and procedures while ensuring compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and licensing regulations. Supports center directors and teachers through professional development, coaching, mentoring, and instructional consultation to improve educational quality and child outcomes.
Skills & Tools: Required skills include managerial experience, coaching expertise in early childhood settings, knowledge of early childhood education principles, and proficiency with performance assessment systems. Bilingual capability (English/Spanish) and strong organizational change management abilities are preferred.
Qualifications: Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field with managerial experience in early childhood settings, plus current CPR and First Aid certification. A Master's degree is preferred.

The Early Learning Specialistis responsible for supporting Center Directors and Teachers to ensure full implementation of all aspects of Acelero Learning’s early learning system, policies/procedures, and tools with the goal of ensuring children achieve School Readiness Goals. This position will use management, monitoring, and instructional strategies to ensure both compliance and excellence among center staff.

What You’ll Do:

- Oversees the full implementation of all aspects of Acelero Learning’s early learning system, policies/procedures, and tools, with the goal of supporting all children to achieve School Readiness Goals.

- Ensures all staff and center functions are fully compliant with policies/procedures, including but not limited to effective practices in health and safety and compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, local and state licensing regulations, and overall center functioning.

- Manages operations to meet changing or emergent program requirements within available resources and with minimum sacrifice to quantity or quality of work.

- Works to improve the quality and effectiveness of education service area and overall organization by initiating, sponsoring, and implementing organizational change and by helping others to successfully manage organizational change.

- Supports education team in planning and implementing comprehensive, differentiated, and sequential professional development for education staff, which includes coaching and mentoring teaching staff as well as administering CLASSTM and other teacher performance tools reliably.

- Applies expertise in on-going, performance-based assessment system to support the center directors and teachers in understanding child outcomes data and using results to plan and individualize instruction.

- Guides center staff in the implementation of early learning curriculum with fidelity.

- Provides consistent on-going consultation to teaching staff to support differentiated instruction for children with IFSPs, IEPs or with challenging behaviors.

- Ensures the timely identification, referral, identified services and transition support for children with disabilities in coordination with the Part C agency and/or LEA.

- Tracks child outcomes and program quality assessment data across classrooms and centers, analyzes data and makes program development recommendations based on analysis.

- Conducts team and 1-1 meetings, regularly scheduled and as needed, to ensure coordination of education services across Head Start program.

What You’ll Bring:

1. Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education OR Bachelor’s degree in related field with at least six (6) courses in early childhood education and experience teaching preschool aged children OR state awarded preschool teaching certification with experience teaching preschool aged children required; Master’s degree preferred.

2. Minimum of one (1) year of managerial/supervisory experience required.

3. Experience supervising/coaching in an early childhood setting required; prior Head Start or Early Head Start experience preferred.

4. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

5. Must have CPR and First Aid certification or required to obtain within the first year of employment.

6. Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.

7. Travel required locally or long-distance up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.

8. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

How Much: This position pays $76,762 annually.
