The Information Technology Trainer develops and maintains a digital adoption platform to enhance employee training and onboarding at the University of Kentucky. This role drives enterprise change management through strategic, user-focused content creation and ongoing system optimization.

Key Responsibilities: Develops guided walkthroughs and in-app support using digital adoption tools, converts operational processes into intuitive workflows, and manages content lifecycle to ensure accuracy and accessibility. Partners with end users for feedback, supports change management initiatives, and manages permissions to maintain a seamless digital adoption experience.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency with digital adoption platforms, instructional design, and process documentation tools; strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities; familiarity with governance standards, accessibility requirements, and enterprise change management principles.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in instructional design, information technology, business, or related field with 2-4 years of training development or digital adoption experience; experience with learning management systems or digital adoption software preferred.
Location: In-Person
Compensation: $55K–$75K/yr (estimated)

Job Description

The Information Technology Trainer is responsible for:
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s digital adoption platform and related initiatives to enhance end user training and onboarding
  • Converting operational processes into intuitive guided walkthroughs, process flows, and in app support using digital adoption tools
  • Supporting enterprise change management by creating strategic, user focused content and ensuring adherence to governance standards for naming, organization, accessibility, and lifecycle management
  • Continuously testing and updating content to maintain accuracy and alignment with evolving systems, configurations, and policies
  • Partnering with end users to gather feedback, address questions, and ensure solutions meet business needs
  • Managing permissions and access requirements to support a seamless digital adoption experience
