Summary

The Facilities Supervisor at Nelnet oversees daily operations and maintenance of the workplace, ensuring a safe, organized, and professional environment while collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities: Supervise team members on projects, manage day-to-day facility operations and maintenance, respond to inquiries via multiple channels, coordinate space planning and moves, and ensure cleanliness and safety of office spaces.
Skills & Tools: Strong communication and organizational skills, leadership, problem-solving, project management, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while interacting with individuals across all organizational levels.
Qualifications: Preferred 4-year college degree with 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience and 1+ years in facilities or maintenance. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and be capable of lifting 50 lbs.

As a Facilities Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations and maintenance of Nelnet’s workplace, ensuring a safe, organized, and professional environment. You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to address facility needs. Your role will involve supervising a team, responding to inquiries, and maintaining supplies. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential as you interact with individuals across all levels of the organization and community

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising and working alongside team members to complete projects and tasks.
  • Managing the day-to-day operations and overall maintenance of the facilities.
  • Respond to associate, vendors, or visitor inquiries in person, via email, and/or the internal ticketing program.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address facility needs.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization, industry, and community.
  • Interact with building vendors and teams to oversee the upkeep and maintenance of the facility.
  • Coordinate move requests and space planning.
  • Ensure the office workspace remains clean, organized, professional, and safe for all.
  • Order and maintain products or services. Both consumable and non-consumable.
  • Assist in ensuring breakrooms and office spaces are stocked and clean.
  • Assist with the preparation for company functions and social events.
  • Complete miscellaneous tasks and projects as assigned to support Nelnet.

**Pay Range for this role is -$65k-$70k

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and maintain reliable transportation.
  • Traveling to Nelnet properties within and outside of Lincoln will be required
  • Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. 
  • May be required to work overtime based on business needs.

Qualifications:

  • 4 year college degree preferred
  • 2+ years supervisory or leadership experience

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
