Summary

Manager, Payroll will oversee end-to-end payroll processing for all employees at Curriculum Associates, ensuring accuracy, compliance with Indian tax regulations, and data integrity across payroll systems.

Key Responsibilities: Process and manage payroll data collection, calculation, and input; ensure compliance with income tax, EPF, ESI, and profession tax regulations; administer payroll systems, generate reports, and resolve payroll discrepancies while addressing employee queries.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in payroll software and systems; strong understanding of Indian tax laws, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance; excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; data management and attention to detail.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field with 3-5 years of payroll management experience in India; demonstrated knowledge of Indian payroll compliance, tax regulations, and accounting practices.
Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India (Prestige Tech Park)
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation for this role is ₹6,00,000 – ₹10,00,000/year based on title, seniority, and location.

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including collecting, calculating and inputting payroll data for all employees (by working on the payroll software of the company).
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies while processing payroll (like Income-tax, EPF, ESI & Profession tax etc).
  • Administer and maintain payroll systems, ensure data integrity and implement system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with HR, finance and other departments to gather and validate payroll information, such as new hires, terminations, promotions and salary changes.
  • Monitor and resolve payroll discrepancies, investigating and resolving issues promptly and accurately.
  • Generate payroll reports, including tax filings, benefits deductions and other required reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Address employee queries and concerns related to payroll
  • Maintain confidentiality and data security standards for all payroll-related information.
  • Understanding & taking care of accounting principles and practices & JEs related to payroll
  • Stay updated on payroll regulations, Indian tax laws and industry trends, implementing necessary changes to ensure compliance and best practices.
