Summary

Part-time contract Accounts Payable Clerk responsible for managing invoice processing, vendor records, and AP reconciliation in a remote environment. The role supports a growing finance team by leveraging automation tools to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payables operations.

Key Responsibilities: Process invoices end-to-end including intake, three-way matching, coding, approvals, and posting; maintain vendor records and support year-end 1099-NEC requirements; reconcile AP subledger to general ledger and resolve discrepancies.
Skills & Tools: Required proficiency with NetSuite, AP automation tools (Charted or bill.com), spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets), and communication tools (Slack/Teams). Strong attention to detail, professional communication, and self-direction in a remote environment are essential.
Qualifications: 2+ years of hands-on Accounts Payable experience with solid understanding of AP best practices, basic GAAP concepts, and 1099 requirements. Familiarity with purchasing workflows and POs preferred.

THIS IS A PART-TIME, TEMPORARY CONTRACT POSITION

POSITION SUMMARY

We’re seeking a detail-oriented AP Clerk to manage invoice processing, payments, and vendor records for a growing team. You’ll leverage automation tools to keep our payables accurate, timely, and compliant. NetSuite experience is required. Knowledge of AI systems such as Charted or bill.com is required. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process invoices end-to-end: intake, three-way match (PO/receipt/invoice), coding, approvals, and posting 
  • Maintain vendor records (W-9 collection, 1099 classification) and support year-end 1099-NEC 
  • Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger; research and resolve discrepancies 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of hands-on Accounts Payable experience 
  • Solid understanding of AP best practices, basic GAAP concepts, and 1099 requirements 
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) and file management 
  • High accuracy, confidentiality, and professional communication with vendors and internal teams
  • Self-directed and reliable in a remote environment Experience with additional AP automation/AI tools (e.g., OCR capture, rules-based routing) 
  • Familiarity with purchasing workflows (POs) 
  • NetSuite (required) 
  • Charted or bill.com (required) 
  • Communication tools (e.g., Slack, Teams)
