You’ll be joining at a pretty magical time. Kami’s user base is growing by the day. With over 170 team members across the world, we couldn’t be prouder of the accomplishments and milestones we’ve achieved to date. Now, this is your chance to join our team and become an integral member of Kami’s growth, while shaping your own future (and having fun doing it)!

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly technical IT Operations & Delivery Lead with a strong engineering background to architect the internal systems that power Kami’s global growth. This is a pivotal role for a "player-coach" who thrives on solving complex technical challenges and possesses the coding expertise to build the "machine that builds the machine." You will act as the technical engine behind our internal operations, moving beyond simple administration to write high-quality code and SQL queries that drive our most critical projects.

As we expand, your expertise will be vital in merging the technical landscapes of Kami and Book Creator, ensuring our toolsets are integrated, scalable, and efficient. From leading CRM migrations to automating manual workflows with AI, you will ensure our data flows seamlessly across the organization. This is a unique opportunity to lead high-stakes delivery projects from concept to code, directly influencing how our Finance, Support, and Sales teams operate on a global scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Integrate global toolsets by leading the technical alignment and data synchronization between Kami and Book Creator platforms. Deliver end-to-end projects as a hands-on technical lead, moving from initial requirements to finished, production-ready code.
  • Lead major technical migrations, specifically owning the end-to-end CRM transition by writing custom migration scripts and ensuring data integrity.
  • Enhance internal administrative tools by developing and maintaining the Internal Admin Control Panel, writing scalable code to improve account management workflows. Support ongoing IT Operations by overseeing SaaS license management and internal technical infrastructure once primary delivery goals are met.
  • Execute complex API integrations, building the logic to connect our financial systems, CRM, and core databases for seamless cross-team data flow.
  • Optimize database architecture by adding new fields and writing advanced SQL queries to provide our Reporting and Support teams with actionable data
  • Drive technical automation by leveraging AI and modern engineering tools to streamline the Purchase Order (PO) process and eliminate manual administrative bottlenecks.

What You’ll Bring

  • Engineering Background: Proven experience in a software engineering or technical operations role, with a focus on building and automating internal tools.
  • Advanced SQL & Database Mastery: Expert-level ability to write complex queries, manage relational schemas, and maintain data hygiene.
  • Coding Proficiency: Ability to write clean, maintainable code in modern languages to build internal tools and manage complex API integrations (Ruby on Rails a bonus!)
  • Automation Mindset: Experience using AI tools or advanced scripting to automate repetitive business processes and forms, such as PO processing.
  • System Integration Expertise: Deep understanding of how to sync disparate platforms (e.g., CRM, Finance, and Core Databases) to create a single source of truth.
  • Project Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading high-impact technical projects, such as CRM migrations, from requirement gathering to full deployment.
  • ETL & Data Mapping: Skilled in Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes required for moving large data sets between systems while maintaining 100% accuracy.
  • Technical Problem Solving: Exceptional critical thinking skills with a "Tier 3" mindset—the ability to diagnose and fix deep-seated technical issues within internal tools.
  • Collaborative Technical Partner: A proactive approach to working with Finance and Support teams to translate their operational needs into high-performing technical solutions.
