Summary

The Lead, Learning (Contractor) role at aiEDU.org involves designing and implementing AI literacy curricula and professional development materials for educators to ensure equitable learning experiences. This part-time position focuses on creating student-facing curriculum products and facilitating professional learning sessions for teachers and school leaders.

Key Responsibilities: Design outcomes-focused AI Readiness professional learning sessions with all required implementation materials, deliver virtual and in-person training sessions, and design student-facing curriculum products with accompanying teacher materials. Engage in feedback cycles to enhance content and leverage implementation data for continuous improvement.
Skills & Tools: Required skills include experience in teaching or coaching adults, expertise in adult learning best practices and practice-based learning, curriculum design proficiency, and fluency with Google Suite and Canva tools. Strong communication, ability to incorporate feedback, and familiarity with AI concepts are essential.
Qualifications: 7+ years of experience teaching students and/or coaching and leading teachers with a strong track record of demonstrable student and adult learning gains. Expertise in designing aligned materials and facilitation guides for adult learning experiences is required.
Location: Remote/flexible, no specified office requirements
Compensation: $55 – $65/hour (up to 30 hours per week)

Role

The Lead, Learning role is responsible for designing student-facing curricular materials, creating professional learning content (e.g., one-off sessions, cohort-based multi-session learning arcs), and facilitating professional learning opportunities. The Lead, Learning role will work closely with the Director, Learning and Senior Lead, Curriculum to align on priority projects, engage in feedback cycles, and share learnings. 


Role Details

  • This is a part-time contractor role for up to 30 hours per week
  • Compensation for this role is $55-65 per hour depending on experience

Responsibilities

Professional Learning Design

  • Design outcomes & practice focused AI Readiness professional learning sessions for teachers, school leaders, and district leaders, and all required resources to implement the sessions (e.g., slides, facilitation guide, participant handouts) in virtual and in-person settings
  • Support updates to existing and building new asynchronous AI Readiness professional learning content 
  • Engage in cycles of feedback during the design process 
  • Leverage implemenation data for prioritized updates to AI Readiness professional learning sessions

Professional Learning Implementation

  • Deliver virtual and in-person AI Readiness professional learning session
  • Engage in coaching on facilitation with Director, Learning to continuously strengthen facilitation practices

Curriculum Design

  • Design AI Readiness student-facing curriculum products, including all materials for students and teachers to successfully take and implement the curriculum
  • Engage in cycles of feedback on design with Senior Lead, Curriculum
  • Design andprofessional learning experiences to support with implementation of curricular products

About You

You might be a great match for this role if you have:

  • 7+ years of experience teaching students and/or coaching and leading teachers
  • Strong track record of student and adult learning gains
  • Expertise in best practices in adult learning, focused on practice-based learning
  • Expertise in design of aligned materials and facilitation guide for adult learning experiences, leveraging Google Suite & Canva tools
  • Clear and timely communication
  • Looks for and applies feedback 
  • Familiarity with AI and excitement about AI literacy content
