We sit within State & District Partnerships, a highly engaged group that works to provide opportunities to students through promoting the use of College Board programsandservicesincludingassessments(SAT,PSAT,&AP),BigFutureandCollegeBoardSearch.
About the Opportunity
As a SeniorDirectorofK-12, you are directly responsible forindependently leading major initiativesthat support College Boardpartnerships in states and/or districts to drive college and career readiness for all students.Yourabilitytobuilddeepandmeaningfulrelationshipswithcolleaguesandwitheducatorswill play a critical role in the lives of students and educators and will allow the College Board to achieve its goals connected to expanding access to College Board programs. When K-12 leaders in your territory have the information they need to select and implement College Board programs that will best serve their students, it is because of your expertise, ability to analyze and distill data, and skill to build strategic partnerships that advance student success.
Inthisrole,youwill:
Strategic State and/or District Management (75%):
- Oversee the development of a comprehensive, multi-year state strategic plan in partnership with the Regional Vice President and Regional Executive Director with the to ensure increased access and opportunity to students & educators.
- Serve as a state lead by spearheading an internal working group comprised of SDP, Higher Ed, Government Relations, and Policy colleagues to ensure that USS approaches are inclusive of varied stakeholders and support organizational priorities.
- Apply understanding of the full K-12 education landscape in the state to influence strategy plans and execution.
- Deeply understand state and district opportunities and problems to develop comprehensive strategic district account plans that include customized, data-driven, solutions that meet state and district needs, with the ultimate goal of maintaining and growing business across your assigned territory.
- Build and own strong relationships with external partners and community stakeholders, identifying key decision-makers and influencers
- Employ various College Board sources to access, compile, and analyze data in support of work with districts/states. Independently conduct standard and complex data analysis to inform recommendations to stakeholders in strategy planning.
- Strategically prioritize among competing priorities, to allocate resources effectively and make informed decisions that align with long-term regional goals and drive sustainable growth
- Ensure effective communication across all levels of unit, promoting transparency and alignment to organization, division, and unit. This includes designing and delivering strong team meeting content, spearheading regular regional communications, managing time-sensitive requests of the team from internal stakeholders, etc.
- Identify and elevate to the Regional ED and/or state lead state/district trends from a variety of data sources (e.g., progress to goal, pipeline data and other sources)
- Analyze data to help understand the most effective sales strategies and approaches across your assigned state(s) in the region
- Regularly measure and monitor sales data towards opportunities and progress to goals
Account Service Delivery & Project Management (25%)
- Ensure successful account delivery in alignment with state/district account plan
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, which may include staff at: state agencies and/or districts, K-12 state and regional membership organizations, community-based organizations, and professional associations.
- Create and deliver key reports and presentations to all levels of state agency staff independently or collaboratively with colleagues.
- Lead or manage divisional or regional projects assigned by leadership.
About You
You have:
- Atleast10yearsofrelevantandprogressiveexperience(managerialorprofessional)in education or a related field; direct experience in assessment, curriculum, student achievement, and career/CTEinitiativeshighly desired
- ApassionforeducationanddeepcommitmenttotheCollegeBoard’smissionofpromoting educational equity, access, and excellence for students of all backgrounds
- Achievement orientation, with evidence of setting and attaining goals
- Ademonstratedabilitytobuilddeepandmeaningfulrelationships,toinfluenceotherstoaction, and to effectively handle multiple situations simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including developing and leading presentations,andabilitytoanalyzeandsuccinctlysummarizekeydatapointstopresentkey findings to constituents
- Strongorganizationandprioritizationskillsandtheprovenabilitytomoveforwardmultiple time-sensitive projects in concert, both independently and as a member of the team
- Strongcomputerliteracy,includingMicrosoftapplications
- Awillingness&abilitytotravelextensively (approx. 40%) within the assigned territory and nationally for meetings, trainings, and conferences.
- A valid drivers license and willingness to drive

- ExperienceusingcustomerrelationshipmanagementsystemlikeSalesforce(preferred)

- The hiring range for this role is $108,000–$147,000.
