Responsibilities: Assist in daily production operations, manage offshore teams, execute layout corrections, and perform quality assessments on final page files.
Skills: Minimum 5 years experience in graphic production, proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign, Acrobat, and Illustrator), and strong understanding of printing processes.
Qualifications: 5+ years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite and management of offshore production teams; proficiency in MAC OS preferred.
Location: New Rochelle, United States of America
Compensation: $75000 - $85000 / Annually
*This position is onsite 5x a week at our New Rochelle office.
Position Purpose:
Responsible for providing production support to the Creative Services department in a variety of capacities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist supervision of daily operations of the production department
- Management off shore production teams across multiple projects
- Execute InDesign layout corrections based upon instruction from Editorial, Copy Editing and Design departments.
- Advance print and digital projects through the production workflow
- Troubleshoot problems with design layouts
- Create InDesign Templates utilizing correct printer specifications
- Digital manipulation of high-resolution art and photographic file to optimize reproduction, and impart alterations to fit layout design, including image extension, silhouetting, color correction, and file format changes as needed.
- Quality assesses final page files for accuracy in content and execution
- Create PDF files from InDesign documents
- Transmit PDF files to various print facilities
- Migrate and archive files to BEC’s DAM locations
- Perform minor design work as needed.
Job Requirements/Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years experience in graphic production for publications
- 5 plus years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Acrobat and Illustrator
- 3 years of experience Woodwing preferred.
- High Proficiency with MAC OS.
- Understanding of printing processes
- Experience managing teams on a project-by-project basis
- Experience managing offshore teams and vendors
- Comfortable multitasking several projects concurrently
- Ability to work in a team setting and willingness to share knowledge with others
- Keen interest in instructional technology and digital media
- Ability to learn new software quickly
- Excellent communication skills
Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000
*The base salary range represents the low and high end of the expected salary range for the position. The base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level.
