Your Role:
The ERSEA Assistantis responsible for assuring that the program maintains full enrollment serving the community’s highest need children. This position must be held by an individual who can fully understand the Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment and Attendance (ERSEA) Head Start Performance Standards and is able to implement them accurately at all times.
What You’ll Do:
- Ensure eligibility, selection, and enrollment processes follow Head Start Performance Standards and Acelero policies.
- Support families in using the Online Family Application (set up accounts, answer questions, upload documents).
- Review applications and work directly with families to complete all required enrollment and intake forms.
- Determine eligibility for program and extended day services; assist families with childcare subsidy applications.
- Collaborate with Coordinators to enroll families based on selection criteria and maintain accurate waitlists.
- Monitor enrollment data, maintain funded enrollment levels, and fill vacancies promptly.
- Promote and track recruitment efforts, inquiries, and applications through online systems and community outreach.
- Enter and maintain accurate data, records, and required documentation in the enrollment system.
- Prepare and maintain enrollment tracking reports, binders, and other compliance documentation.
- Participate in required meetings, events, and trainings.
What You Bring:
- High School Diploma / GED required; AA/AS in Social Work, Education, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge/Experience of HS Performance Standards preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred and may be required for certain service areas to meet the needs of our population.
- Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.
- Travel required locally or long-distance up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation.
