Position Summary

The Director of Marketing will lead strategic marketing initiatives to drive measurable impact across the organization. This individual will be responsible for agency management, ROI tracking of marketing-led events, and the development of scalable partner programs aligned with Bluum's growth strategy and purpose-driven mission. The Director will collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to ensure marketing initiatives are customer-focused, outcome-driven, and aligned with sales goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Agency Oversight:
  • Manage the relationship with external marketing agencies (e.g., Galactic Fed), ensuring execution aligns with Bluum’s brand, voice, and performance expectations.
  • Monitor agency output, budgets, KPIs, and deliverables.

Actively manage the marketing mix by adjusting tactics, channels, and messaging to meet brand and demand-generation goals

Continuously asses the internal and agency team mix and consult on the best execution model that maximizes ROI in key marketing functions. 

  • Event ROI Strategy:
  • Develop and implement systems for tracking the return on investment (ROI) of marketing-led events, including tradeshows, webinars, and field events.
  • Align event strategy with business goals, sales feedback, and partner initiatives.
  • Partner Program Development:
  • Design and launch scalable partner marketing programs to increase MDF (market development funds), amplify co-branded efforts, and support Bluum's channel ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with sales and vendor relations to create joint marketing strategies that drive pipeline and revenue.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Sales, Product, Field Marketing, Communications, and Education Services to deliver integrated campaigns and go-to-market motions.
  • Align campaigns with field feedback, customer personas, and buyer journeys.
  • Measurement & Reporting:
  • Define success metrics and develop dashboards to measure program effectiveness.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.

Manage a marketing ecosystem that balances brand-building efforts with measurable performance marketing, allocating budget to drive both long-term brand equity and short-term revenue growth

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in B2B marketing, preferably in the education technology or channel-based environment.
  • Proven track record of managing agency relationships and vendor/partner programs.
  • Strong understanding of event marketing strategies and ROI measurement.
  • Exceptional project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools (HubSpot preferred), CRM systems, and analytics platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and lead through influence.
