Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred with 1-2 years of accounting experience; experience with NetSuite, Avalara, and Ramp software systems and software industry knowledge are pluses.

Job Description

Our Finance Department has an opening for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant I to support core accounting operations, including month-end close activities, purchase order process rollout and ongoing support in Ramp, sales tax compliance, and expense management. This role also provides assistance with accounts receivable functions and audit readiness, ensuring accurate documentation, strong internal controls, and responsive service to internal stakeholders.

Essential Tasks

  • Prepare and post journal entries and perform account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in month-end close
  • Assist with the implementation and rollout of purchase order (PO) processes within Ramp across multiple departments, including system setup, user onboarding, and training
  • Provide ongoing support for PO workflows, including creation, approvals, tracking, and issue resolution
  • Troubleshoot PO-related issues and ensure timely resolution while maintaining accurate documentation and audit-ready records
  • Manage monthly sales tax filings and compliance using Avalara and NetSuite, including reconciliation and reporting
  • Review, audit, and process employee reimbursements on a weekly basis in accordance with company policies and internal controls
  • Manage corporate travel credit card transactions, including monitoring activity, reconciling statements, and ensuring proper coding and documentation
  • Oversee all travel and entertainment (T&E) expenses, ensuring compliance with company policy, accurate reporting, and timely processing
  • Provide support for Accounts Receivable functions, including assistance with billing, collections, and related activities as needed.
  • Support the annual audit process by preparing and providing required documentation and responding to ad hoc audit requests in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, professional presentation and the ability to communicate effectively
  • Display keen attention to detail and desire for accuracy
  • Exhibit proficient Microsoft Excel skills
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools and analytics to enhance decision-making, improve efficiency, and drive measurable business outcomes when appropriate
  • Apply sound judgment and ethical standards when using AI, ensuring accuracy, data privacy, and responsible human-in-the-loop oversight
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field preferred; may be offset by experience
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in an accounting role
  • Knowledge of software industry, is a plus
  • Experience with NetSuite, Avalara and Ramp software systems is a plus

The pay range for this position is $41,000-$51,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, geographic location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus in addition to a full range of benefits.
