Summary
The Learning Systems and Resource Specialist implements, configures, and supports learning resource tools at Western Governors University to enhance the online educational experience. This role bridges technical expertise with user support to ensure seamless integration and optimization of educational technology across the institution.
Key Responsibilities: Day-to-day duties include implementing and troubleshooting learning resource tools, providing training and support to faculty and students, customizing tools to institutional needs, conducting quality assurance testing, and maintaining documentation. The specialist also engages with vendors and education technology engineers while providing light project management oversight for tool implementation projects.
Skills & Tools: Required skills include technical expertise in learning resource tools, configuration and troubleshooting capabilities, excellent communication and training abilities, project management competencies, and quality assurance methodologies. Instructional design principles and knowledge of online learning environments are also essential.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2 years of experience in learning resource tools is required. A Master's degree and project management certification are preferred.
Location: Hybrid in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States
Compensation: $88,300 – $132,400/year
