Location: Remote from Silver Spring, Maryland, United States (must be available during core hours 9am–5pm ET)
Compensation: $18.00 – $23.00/hour (undergraduate rate $18/hour; graduate rate $23/hour)

Internship Overview: Achieving The Dream is seeking a Marketing and Communications Intern. This intern will be an integral part of the Marketing & Communications team (“MarComm”), contributing to various projects aimed at enhancing ATD’s marketing strategies and elevating its brand across digital channels. The intern will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of tasks. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, enjoys interacting with a diverse range of colleagues and audiences, is a strong writer and communicator, and is working toward a degree in communications, digital media, or a related field. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promote Brand Expertise: Assist with creating a spreadsheet and process for elevating ATD’s subject matter experts in the field using ATD’s digital channels
  • AI Content Creation: Support the development of new content using AI to craft compelling narratives and generate ideas for assets to be used across various channels, including email, social media, and the website.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research on best AI tools to support the MarComm department and present findings
  • Website Enhancements: Assist the team in identifying and making enhancements to the ATD website to better drive traffic and engagement
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members on daily operations to ensure efficiency and efficacy in delivering our work to internal clients.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, digital media, or related field
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
  • Strong familiarity with social media and emerging platforms
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
