Summary

We’re seeking a dedicated Early Learning Specialist to provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development that ensures every child is prepared for school success.

What You’ll Do

As an Early Learning Specialist, you will:

  • Coach and mentor teaching staff alongside Center Directors using tools like CLASS and the Teacher Success Rubric to improve instructional quality.
  • Support professional learning communities and provide ongoing training and development for teachers and leaders.
  • Guide staff in using child outcomes and assessment data to individualize instruction and strengthen classroom practices.
  • Ensure timely identification, referral, and support for children with disabilities, working with community partners and agencies.
  • Collaborate across service areas, providing leadership coverage and program support to ensure high-quality learning environments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education OR Bachelor’s degree in related field with at least six (6) courses in early childhood education and experience teaching preschool aged children.
  • Experience supervising/coaching in an early childhood setting required; prior Head Start or Early Head Start experience preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of managerial/supervisory experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of child development, curriculum implementation, and performance assessment tools.
  • Familiarity with Head Start Performance Standards, state guidelines, and inclusion practices for children with disabilities.
  • Pass a physical exam and background check.
  • Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation required.
