Location: This is a remote position available only to candidates in the USA, with approximately 15% annual travel to the headquarters and other locations.
Compensation: $140000 - $160000 / Annually

The Director of Internal Communications leads strategic employee communications that strengthen KnowBe4's culture and advance business objectives. This role serves as a trusted advisor to the C-Suite, Human Resources, and other internal teams while ensuring clear, consistent messaging across all internal channels.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive internal communications strategies aligned with KnowBe4's organizational goals and culture in close collaboration with the CHRO and HR team
- Serve as the primary communications advisor to the executive leadership team (ELT)
- Lead the creation and distribution of company-wide announcements, newsletters, and key messaging such as the daily briefing every morning
- Craft communications for major organizational changes, initiatives, and critical business updates
- Foster two-way communication channels between leadership and employees
- Measure and analyze the effectiveness of internal communications through metrics and employee feedback
- Collaborate with HR on employee engagement initiatives and communication of benefits information
- Partner with external communications, the PR team to ensure message consistency across all audiences
- Create and maintain crisis communications plans for internal audiences
- Identify opportunities to strengthen company culture through strategic communications
- Ensure communications adhere to KnowBe4's brand voice and human risk management mission
- ~15% travel annually to company headquarters in Tampa Bay, other company offices, and events as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English required
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing strategic communications programs and teams at cybersecurity or high growth technology companies.
- Prior experience at companies scaling from $500m to multi-billion in annual revenue
- Demonstrated experience working with and advising executive leadership.
- Demonstrated successful track record collaborating with Human Resources for internal communications.
- Prior experience in cybersecurity or B2B SaaS industry
- Proven track record of success in managing crisis communications/issues appropriately
- Experienced using AI-driven technology
- Prior experience with intranets, posting on communities, and sales enablement software
The pay for this position ranges from $140,000 - $160,000, which will vary depending on how well an applicant's skills and experience align with the job description listed above.
