Summary

Associate Marketing Manager for the Pets division at Learning Resources, responsible for driving brand growth through data-driven analytics, retail strategy execution, and e-commerce content optimization. Key Responsibilities: Monitor brand performance metrics and market analytics to guide marketing strategies, develop initiatives to increase retail traffic and sell-through rates, and manage e-commerce product detail pages with branded content optimization. Collaborate cross-functionally with paid media, digital, social, and influencer teams to drive traffic and conversions while supporting retail marketing program execution.
Skills & Tools: Strong analytical and data interpretation abilities with experience in marketing analytics, retail strategy, and e-commerce content management. Excellent collaboration and communication skills with proficiency in SEO optimization, performance tracking, and cross-functional project coordination.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field with 0-2 years of marketing or brand management experience preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of e-commerce platforms, retail operations, and ability to work with data analytics tools is beneficial.

Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation for this role is $42,000 – $55,000/year based on title, seniority, and location.

Team & Position Description:

What you’ll do day to day (responsibilities):

As the Associate Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving brand growth and market success through data-driven decision-making, performance tracking, and collaborative execution. Your responsibilities will include monitoring brand analytics, tracking in-market performance, and developing strategies to drive retail traffic and improve sell-through. You will also manage the updating of e-commerce product detail pages with branded content and collaborate with cross-functional peers to drive traffic and conversions on these pages. This role is critical to delivering measurable results, enhancing the customer experience, and achieving brand and business objectives.

What we’re looking for (Key Performance Objectives):

1. Analyze Brand Performance and Track Market Success (First 3-6 Months)

 Monitor and analyze key brand metrics, including sales performance, market share, and traffic trends. Collaborate with the analytics team to provide actionable insights that guide marketing and retail strategies. Support the Marketing Manager in the QBR process by helping to prepare reports and identify insights. Within the first six months, deliver monthly performance dashboards that identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

2. Drive Retail Traffic and Sell-Through Performance

 Develop and implement strategies to increase traffic to dot com and retail locations and improve sell-through rates. Achieve a measurable increase in sell-through rates, with at least a 10% improvement in key retail accounts within the first year.

3. Manage and Update E-Commerce Product Detail Pages and Brand Stores

 Optimize content for SEO and conversion rates, achieving a measurable improvement in page engagement metrics (e.g., click-through and add-to-cart rates) within the first 90 days, and ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand guidelines.

4. Collaborate to Drive E-Commerce Traffic

 Work with paid media, digital marketing, social media, and influencer teams to develop a coordinated approach to campaign planning and execution, contributing to a 15% increase in traffic to product detail pages by year-end.

5. Support Retail Marketing Initiatives

 Assist in the execution of retail marketing programs and track the performance of these initiatives, providing data-driven recommendations to optimize, with at least a 10% improvement in key retail accounts within the first year.

6. Build Cross-Functional Relationships to Enhance Execution

 Collaborate with sales, marketing, and e-commerce teams to ensure seamless integration of brand strategies across channels. 

Requirements/Ideal Attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • 1-3 years experience in Brand Marketing, Brand Analytics or Content Management
  • Data Driven with excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong skills in Fostering Teams & Collaboration, Driving Change, and Learning Agility
  • Demonstrated track record of accountability
  • Consumer packaged goods or pet industry background preferred

Compensation Range: $65,000 – 75,000 annual salary – Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: years of experience, skill set or location. Total compensation includes profit sharing bonus potential, 401k matching, and a variety of other benefits (details can be found here).
