Summary

Must be a conceptual thinker skilled at crafting compelling narratives and optimizing content for discoverability, engagement, and conversion.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred with over 3 years of content marketing experience and familiarity with digital content creation across multiple platforms. Demonstrated ability to develop strategies that drive organic traffic and revenue goals.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

We are seeking a curious, innovative, creative, and data-driven Content Strategist to lead end-to-end content development.

As our Content Strategist, you will shape narratives, develop campaign ideas across all platforms, and craft ideas and copy that spark emotion and inspire action. You will work closely with NASM's Creative Director, a team of designers, and the ecommerce, social media, paid media, and product teams, as well as outside agencies, to develop content that drives traffic and pushes creative boundaries.

This role requires a conceptual thinker and gifted writer skilled at crafting compelling narratives and optimize content for discoverability, engagement, and conversion across multiple platforms. You will develop strategies that keep us away from the ordinary and dare us to be different in the crowded fitness and wellness landscape.

WHERE YOU’LL WORK

This position will work remote in the United States.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME

  • Own the content strategy and calendar across all key objectives: brand differentiation, search engine optimization and web user experience.
  • Partner with Creative Director, SEO Manager, and ecommerce team to deliver insightful content that ranks in search, engages prospects and drives conversion and sales.
  • Apply strong understanding of SEO best practices to deliver content that supports our organic traffic and revenue goals.
  • Deliver work that reflects a deep understanding of our consumers, brings our brand positioning to life, embodies NASM's unique voice and feels fresh, memorable. Infuse brand stories with humanity, authenticity, and emotional resonance, ensuring every word serves a purpose.
  • Provide briefs to in-house and freelance writers and designers and ensure all content meets brand standards, is meticulously crafted and error-free and delivered on time.
  • Manage multiple content workflows and prioritize projects across teams.
  • Monitor competitive content and best-in-class content overall with the aim to continuously improve and ensure NASM’s content is the best out there on every topic we cover.
  • Strategize ways to repurpose content for multiple platforms and elevate existing work.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 3+ years of proven content marketing experience, preferably with high-traffic ecommerce brands
  • Exceptional concepting, copywriting and collaboration skills
  • An inspirational leader skilled at managing in-house and freelance writers and partnering with designers and the business to develop digital content, including blogs, website content and short form video
  • Must be a curious thinker who loves to ask questions, dig deeper, and get to the why
  • Outstanding communication, project management, and leadership skills. Able to seamlessly drive cross-department initiatives and ensure all deliverables are complete to meet editorial deadlines
  • Adept as using data to monitor results, including Google Analytics, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Hotjar, etc.
  • Familiar with basic HTML, and HTML hierarchy. Experience with Hubspot, as well as CMS platforms like Sitefinity and with CMS WYSIWYG editors.
  • A self-starter who is motivated and able to work independently
