About this role

At Presence, we believe that we have a responsibility to help schools provide their students access to the specialized services they need. As a member in Presence’s dynamic sales organization, you'll be responsible for leading a team of 5 Inside Sales/Business Development Representatives. This role is ideal for a high-potential sales leader ready to step into people management and help drive pipeline growth through coaching, process improvement, relationship building with School Partnership Directors, and daily team support. The Junior Manager will play a key role in frontline execution, ensuring team success against outreach, KPIs, meeting-setting, and early pipeline development goals.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage, coach, and develop a team of BDRs/Inside Sales Reps to exceed outreach and lead generation KPIs
  • Daily Oversight: Monitor and support daily workflows, including outbound calls, emails, demo scheduling, and other lead generating activities
  • Performance Management: Track individual and team metrics, provide regular feedback, and support reps in hitting weekly and monthly goals
  • Pipeline Growth: Partner with sales leadership to ensure healthy early-stage pipeline development across regions and verticals
  • Sales Process Optimization: Identify areas for efficiency, improve outreach strategies, and ensure reps are using sales tools (CRM, sequencing platforms, etc.) effectively
  • Conference Support: Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership to maximize ROI from conferences and events by ensuring timely pre- and post-event outreach and lead follow-up
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales Enablement and School Partnership Directors to align on messaging and lead handoff best practices
  • Reporting: Deliver updates on performance trends, challenges, and opportunities to senior sales leadership

What we’re looking for?

  • 4+ years of industry experience in inside sales, business development, or a similar sales environment
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • Prior experience mentoring or supporting teammates strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and sales enablement platforms (e.g., Outreach)
  • Comfortable with data and performance tracking
  • Strong team-player mindset and desire to grow as a people leader

An employee’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions.

Salary range is $85,000-100,000 plus variable commission.
