The Opportunity

This high-visibility, high-impact Corporate Development & Investor Relations Associate role sits at the intersection of M&A and investor relations within the Grammarly Finance org, partnering with the executive team to formulate and execute our M&A strategy, build and maintain relationships with investors, and ensure an optimal capital structure.

Here are more specific responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with founders and executives at companies that align with our M&A priorities or inform future ones. This is a big part of the job
  • Brief inbound prospective investors about the Grammarly story and our current transformation
  • Build financial models and conduct ad hoc financial / data analysis
  • Collaborate with colleagues on market analyses and target screens
  • Play critical roles in execution of M&A and capital-raising transactions as well as deliverables for ongoing processes (e.g. Board meetings, investor updates)
  • Pinch hit on key activities across a small high-leverage team

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of work experience in investment banking, consulting, and/or investing
  • A track record of experience with building relationships with founders / executives and investors. Extra points if you already have an established network
  • A strong analytical foundation with demonstrated competencies in financial modeling
  • Intellectual curiosity related to AI, business strategy, entrepreneurship, and finance
  • Experience leveraging generative AI as a force multiplier for research, analysis, and communication
  • A demonstrated reputation for quality, attention to detail, and initiative
  • A collaboration mindset
  • Crisp verbal, written, and visual communication skills
  • A sense of humor

Grammarly takes a market-based approach to compensation, which means base pay may vary depending on your location. Our US locations are categorized into two compensation zones based on proximity to our hub locations.

Base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The expected salary ranges for this position are outlined below by compensation zone and may be modified in the future.

United States:

Zone 1: $110,000 – $151,000/year
