Summary

Digital Designer to support marketing efforts by designing and developing websites, email campaigns, and digital assets on Adobe Commerce (Magento). This role enhances the eCommerce platform and optimizes user experience for a leading educational publisher.

Key Responsibilities: Maintain and optimize large-scale Adobe Commerce (Magento) sites, design marketing collateral including email templates and landing pages, and create wireframes and prototypes using Figma. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement designs and resolve front-end issues while ensuring brand consistency and mobile responsiveness.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HubSpot, and Figma with strong eCommerce and marketing design skills. Knowledge of SEO principles, web accessibility, responsive design, and excellent communication abilities for team collaboration.
Qualifications: 3-5 years of proven experience maintaining and optimizing large-scale Adobe Commerce (Magento) sites with a strong portfolio showcasing eCommerce and marketing-focused web design projects. Understanding of SEO best practices and user experience design principles required.

Position Purpose:

Highly skilled and motivated Web Designer with experience in updating and maintaining large a eCommerce platform, specifically Adobe Commerce (Magento).

Support the marketing department by designing and developing marketing websites, email campaigns, landing pages, ads, and other digital marketing assets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Magento (Adobe Commerce) Maintenance:

  • Update and maintain a large-scale eCommerce site on Adobe Commerce (Magento).
  • Ensure the website is optimized for performance, accessibility, and user experience.
  • Collaborate with developers to implement changes and enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve front-end issues related to design, layout, and user interface.

Marketing Support:

  • Design and develop marketing websites, email templates, and landing pages that align with marketing campaigns and business goals.
  • Create visually compelling and high-converting digital marketing assets using HubSpot.
  • Ensure all marketing collateral is mobile-responsive and adheres to the company’s branding guidelines.

Wireframing & Prototyping:

  • Create wireframes and prototypes for web pages, email designs, and other digital products using Figma.
  • Work closely with marketing and product teams to refine designs based on feedback.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure the smooth transition from design to code.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and development teams to understand business objectives and translate them into effective designs.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders to manage design iterations and approvals.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in eCommerce, web design, and digital marketing.

Job Requirements/Skills and Experience

  • 3-5 years of proven experience with maintaining, updating, and optimize a large-scale Adobe Commerce (Magento) site. (Preferred)
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design principles.
  • Experience designing and developing marketing assets in HubSpot, including email templates, landing pages, and marketing websites.
  • Strong skills in creating wireframes, prototypes, and user flows using Figma.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing web design projects, especially for eCommerce and marketing-focused initiatives.
  • Understanding of SEO principles, web accessibility, and best practices for user experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000

*The base salary range represents the low and high end of the expected salary range for the position. The base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level.
