Summary

Campus is hiring CompTIA Teaching Assistants to support live, online college courses by building meaningful relationships with students and helping them stay engaged throughout the 11-week term. This role is ideal for aspiring educators and professionals who want to make a real impact on students from historically underserved backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities: Support and grade assignments for 30-40 students, lead discussion sections, host weekly office hours, and mentor students through their learning journey. Communicate regularly with students, provide timely feedback, and help them stay motivated while developing strong academic habits.
Skills & Tools: Strong communication and mentoring abilities, comfort with digital tools and LMS platforms, and passion for student success. Technical knowledge in IT or related fields with experience in teaching, tutoring, or training.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Technology, or related field, with teaching/tutoring/training experience and a current CompTIA certification (Security+, Network+, A+, or related). Currently pursuing a graduate degree or working in a technical/business role.
Location: Remote
Compensation: $1,185 – $2,000/month (varies by course credit: $2,000 for 4-credit courses or $1,185 for 1-2 credit courses per 11-week quarter)

About the Role

Campus is hiring dedicated, student-centered CompTIA Teaching Assistants to support our live, online college courses. As a TA, you’ll play a key role in building meaningful relationships with students, helping them stay engaged, organized, and on track throughout the term. This role is ideal for aspiring educators, graduate students, and professionals who want to make a real impact on students from all backgrounds, especially those historically underserved by higher education.

TAs are integrated into the instructional team and work closely with the Instructor to ensure students receive timely feedback and academic support.

Academic Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Support and grade assignments for a group of 30-40 students in an 11-week online course

  • Act as a mentor and coach to students as they learn new skills and develop as professionals

  • Attend lectures within the 11-week online course

  • Lead discussion sections to reinforce key concepts

  • Host weekly office hours to deepen student understanding and build community.

  • Communicate with students regularly and respond to messages in a timely manner

  • Help students stay motivated and build strong academic habits

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Technology, or related field.

  • Experience teaching, tutoring, or training in Information Technology, or related field.

  • CompTIA certification (e.g., Security+, Network+, A+, or related)

  • Currently pursuing a graduate degree or working in a technical/business role.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Passion for student success.

  • Comfort with digital tools and platforms, including LMS and video conferencing.

  • Available to commit 4-6 hours per week, with some flexibility for training.

Compensation

  • $2,000 per 4-credit course/11 week quarter

  • $1,185 per 1-2 credit course/11 week quarter
